The app is great, but it fight with other widgets libs (irreco)
I think MohammadAG solved it (I simply uninstalled irreco)

I think this app is great besides you have to delete it sometimes from your desktop to make it work. But still I wonder of there are any other worldcup app's or widgets?

The widget is showing no games today....also i noticed that when a goal is scored it was c oming thru on my phone almost 30 mins after it had been scored....a pretty useless app in my opinion.

Brilliant little widget. I love it. Was it written by England fans ? it had England ahead by 2 goals but later corrected to one all lol.

the app does not work properly...not showing results, sometimes goals are notified, sometimes not. sometimes huge(!!!) lag...seems to be veery buggy

Shut up it aint that buggy...there is a delay with the notification sometimes it's 30 seconds sometimes it's 3-4 minutes.

i still get 'unable to install' message. downloaded the latest widged from the site and used mohammedAG's repackaged .deb.

even tried the pt-get install wget but nothing. any more ideas guys?

Ok resolved my problem without knowing how. Even though I got the "unable" to install mssg the widget appeared on my desktop.

I am really curious - are the scores updated manually and then pushed out? If so, are you really watching each and every game!?

I wish we were at this point a week ago. I truly love the app, but it seems pretty buggy still so I don't know if I can rely on it to a) update teh score or b) update the correct score.

For example, at the moment the matches and times are correct ... but it has yesterday's team names in the background greyed out?

The app works pretty well for me. Apart from the one time, it attributed the Yank goal to England

I believe the greyed out text is to show that the game has finished.

I have installed this app and it is working fine for me and I'm happy.
Tends to be a couple of minutes delay for registering a goal but I can live with that and it does what I need it to do. Great app from where I am coming from...

great app, but have to remove it becaus it broke indicator light.
it won't work even when n900 is charging and when pelota is inserted on desktop white light is on all the time...

Works perfectly for me. No indicator light issues, goals come through instantly with scorer details and never had a crash or force close.

works for me except for one little thing - how can I get the widget to refresh? at the moment it is still showing yesterdays matches? If I reboot, then the widget refreshes and shows the correct days matches..

Still a nice app though..

Please read post #272 from one of the developers: "was a beta version of Pelota Maemo and we've been fix some bugs. Please, install again and sorry us for the inconvenience."

Great app. Works perfectly. No problem with LEDs whatsoever and YES, I can live with the 3-5 min lag... Remember ALL, this app is developed to tell you who scored, when scored and what's the end result of the game. If you're looking for live-update, watch the game live!!! (I suppose you won't be able to do that in a meeting...)

One question for the developers. Where are you going with this app after the World Cup ends? I'd hate to see so much effort going down the drain afterwards...

Hi, i'm one of the developers for pelota. Thanks for all the replys, it's
proving to be really helpfull and we are going to work hard this week to fix some reported bugs. After the world cup the plan is to expand pelota, and support other tournaments. I'm not sure but i think the frist ones will be the big ones, like the main european tournaments, and of course the 'brasileirão' (brazil's national championship) hehe =]

We are really folowing this thread, so if you have more complaints or suggestions keep posting.
