I like TwimGo! (far more then TweeGo and TweetSuit).
Looks good and seems to have everything what is for twitter needed.

I just don't see how you can leave TwimGo without closing it in order to let it run in background and bring a different app to the front?

Minimise it but pressing in the top left hand corner then select a different app, if you have the new sound warning you will then know when you get a new tweet?

If you tap the top left hand-corner of the screen (the avatar on the very first tweet basically) the application does minimize - its a very small area (granted) but I have v2.9.0 and works perfectly fine on mine.

You can access the dashboard in the n900 by pressing Ctrl+backspace.


In my case, I use shortcud and I've mapped the camera focus to show the dashboard. I've got used to it and is very useful.

Actually, sound notification worked only once. Now, (even when re-enabled in settings) there's no sound anymore when a new message arrives only the hint "new" on the icon in lower options bar in TwimGo.

Any clue how to fix the sound notification?

using version 2.9.0, everything is normal, except the Direct messages.
mine always give error "Twitter API returned 403 Forbidden on URL https://api.twitter.com/1/direct_message.."
anyone face this problem too?

I sometimes have similar error messages when trying to display the profile information of a user or even when entering the "settings" section. However, a restart resolved all the issues and they were finally gone.

I also observed that sometimes TwimGo does not work for me when connected to a wireless lan / hotspot but it does perfectly work when being connected to 3G. Maybe a firewall issue of the hotspot?

i had the same problem with version 2.8.3. now i upgraded to 2.9.0 but the problem is still there. i googled the problem and got there is something with the device time zone. i fixed the time zone correctly but no success.
I dont know what to do!!?? please help.......

I like the new background color and twimgo is still my chosen twitter client. I wish I had more ability to create saved searches and get rid of them, though.

Installed v3.0.0 and it seems much faster than before, interface looks better/sharper too (prob due to higher contrast) - great job by @tlaukkanen - but I've just had it lockup twice in the space of 5 minutes.

Both times I was trying the Trends while in portrait mode - not sure if this is the actual cause of lockup or if it's just getting progressively more bogged down to the point of becoming unresponsive when I get there.

Could anyone else try a few of the More options on TwimGo and see if it's the app or just my phone doing this? Thanks.

Attempted to install TwimGo v3.0.0 after downloading from here:

It fails to install due to a dependency issue: "Application packages missing: mcsp"

Will TwimGo v3.0.0 make it's way into Extras-devel?

I had a problem with twimgo back when I used it, dunno if it has been fixed with the v3 release.
Thing is, sometimes when I pressed the "More..." button it would get stuck and show nothing. Closing and relaunching the app was the only solution for me.
Anyone had this problem? Has it been fixed?

Good to know :).
Perfect setting would be not having to use the button at all, so when you scrolled down it'd load the next set of tweets, just like Gravity does on Symbian, superb app btw, would love to see it ported to maemo.
Anyways, with the 'more' button bug fixed, this app will work perfect for me. And for free! :D

Still awaiting on TwimGo v3.0.3 to appear in Extras-devel. This would be my preferred way to update it.

login to your twitter account via pc browser, goto account Setting, and then click Applications. from there, revoke TwimGo access.

or, from xterm, cd to directory /home/user/.local/share/data/QML/OfflineStorage/Databases, find which file is TwimGo config file using command
and delete the matched file.

I installed this as witter that i was using had a problem with DM's
i assume something changed on twitter side

but the one think that doesnt seem to be on witter or twimgo, is the autocompleting of @.... ie people i follow. functionallity that i use on the web based version a lot. (i can never remember the exact name or lots of friends) Am i just missing it, or is there any plans for it

Have installed twimgo and only have it in fullscreen mode. No way to switch to another app or go to the fremantle ui - there is no fremantle controls/panels whatsoever. Can of course launch camera or something from power button menu to force minimize it, but it is not comfortable. Any thoughts?

Damn, I can´t get to make twimgo work, it was in the past, now I don´t know what to do...

Can someone tell me how I can remove the app with all the other information, so I can re-do a clean install?

I think maybe this will work...
The app start, but freezes on the first screen :(

installed new version of twimgo and the icon isn't showing in menu even after reboot it stays the same.
