Tested I must run 1.0.0, 1.0.5 and 1.0.6 on my N9. None of them are running. 1.0.0 says "Missing library dependencies", the other two: Not a native .apk

It starts, but exits with the "Segmentation fault" message after Rovio splashscreen.

Something weird going on...for some reason even though I can't start anything from the terminal(permission denied and no chmod gonna do anything about it) that qt interface did the trick.
I'm guessing I was typing something wrong even though I pretty much copy pasted everything.

Anyway a big thanks you guys. Angry Birds Space was the only regret I had from going with the N9. You rock.

So if I copy more libraries from NITDroid.. Will the other games or apps work?

Is there anyway I can know what libraries we're missing to run the app?

@the OP: thanks for this POC!

@most others: This thread, as expected on page 2, evolved into another wazcrap-like steamrollering turd. It's so sad, the Harmattan kids can deface almost everything with their nonsense & missing knowledge.

AFAIK apkenv available ( was ) version based on that 5 libs, i dont think it is able to load more unless the author released a newer one...

please correct me if i am wrong

Agree op rules. The thread gets always messy when lots of people are intressting to try it out. Instead of complaining in threads about nonsense(you do know that it might not be nonsens for the poster? ) & missing knowledge (all can't know evertything). If you are skilled, lead by example and help others out. Great knowledge gives great responsiblety. Don't act like the... Harmattan kids ;)

Re: [Announce] apkenv (N900, N950, N9)

I have one small suggestion.
The games save data goes to home/user/.apkenv.
Some games like angry birds series use tha same name save files, that means everytime you open other series it replace tha savedata the other does. It would be better if the emulator create a save data folder for each apk seperately.

Is there an updated URL to download the binary? Can't find it on the project page and the wiki's direct link is a 404.

I think Faro managed to package a self standing deb.
This is the similar way how APKs are packaged inside BARs for BlackBerry Playbook.
However, not only games work but most of applications too.
Maybe someone can take a look at how they did it on PlayBook at this point to add needed libraries.

Boy, am I glad I have nothing to dev about this one. Epic Wazapp thread cost me 10 years of my life. :P
LOL at thread tag... :D

Packaging methods aside, if I'm not mistaken the Playbook has an instance of Dalvik available to it. This explains the expanded capability. apkenv is just an environment/libary like preenv was on the N900. So we can only have a shot at running native OpenGL games and not Dalvik apps.

KiRik, I'm guessing your app uses the files in /opt/apkenv/bin/? I tried them as root through terminal and the ran angry birds fine so it must be a permission issue. Possibly Angry Birds does not have permission to access its save file from /.apk. Hence why it freezes just after its finished the loading screen.
