Guys, all of you, you understood it totally wrong! First of all, the 40 Euro & 100 Euro option is only regarding the t-shirt(the 100 Euro includes other half), NOT THE PHONE. NOT THE PHONE. You get the t-shirt, including a free prebook number. While when the phone launches, you can USE the prebook number you ordered to get it before other people. And this prebook number has an expiry date. YOU BUY THE PHONE, but you USE the prebook number to get it BEFORE others.
Edit: They don't ship the 100 Euro option (t-shirt+otherhalf+prebook num) outside EU, but I ordered 40 Euro (which means I get the t-shirt, and if my country supports the phone, i get it among the first when it launches)

But it should have, otherwise there is no reason to pay 100 Euro, 40 Euro for the t-shirt and the 60 other Euro is for the other half. Maybe they only took it out of the list, just like the t-shirt was removed from the list...

From what I've heard it is a secret image on the backside of the other half that also can be visible on the screen. I'm imagining it could be an photo and scream of Marc when he is pumping up the volume...

But what I would like is that jolla telling a story about how the company,OS and phone (with video/images) was created assuming the other side has a flashdrive. That would be cool...Jolla, the unlike story! And every new future phone would continue this journey/story for the pre-orders.

Lol, did anyone tell you you're funny? Well, limited other half is the box with all kinds of covers (I guess) while the regular limited edition phone comes with 1 color (I guess of your choice).. Or maybe comes with the 4 default covers.

The question is how jolla will keep the heat up and not be forgotten until Christmas. Personally I don't think we have to wait until DEC. I'm leaning more towards Sept/Oct.

I'm an ex N9 user and currently WP8 user. I am lucky that I don't use a lot of apps or I play almost no game on my phone. Most important things for me are email, camera and browsing.

But still, I use popular apps like Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Youtube, Whatsapp, Viber, Skype and Shazam. I'm sure there will be great apps eventually for open-api apps (actually probably better than the crappy Facebook app on WP8) but unfortunately the last 4 apps are closed API. Also there are huge amount of high quality camera apps on WP8 right now.

My N9 had better social integration like GTalk and Facebook chat, I'm sure Jolla will be like that as well. Also being open source and more end-user oriented it will be updated faster than WP8 (we still don't have a lot of cool features of N9, like glance screen, flip to silence, double tap to wake etc...).

So I haven't decided yet. I loved my N9 and still miss it but WP8 is right now the solid third platform with almost all the apps I use. I'll most probably watch some review videos on Youtube after it is released and decide.

Lately we note that other manufacturers have added to their devices, some features that seem to 'copy' from your project do you think?

No it does not. What he actually is saying is that Linux kernel support OTG and maybe also the SoC but that does NOT mean the HW is fully enabled for it.

Remember N900 and N9 it also has a SoC who support USB hostmode. But as we see you still can enable it on N9 cause of the battery managment chip on N9 if I remember correct. It could be similar issues on the Jolla device.

Summary is he does not confirm anything!

The phone is not a final one yet. Changes could be made. And so far, a modern phone to compete at least with an SII or SIII for example, it should AT LEAST, minimum, have USB OTG support. Otherwise, it won't be the "futuristic" phone as sailors say :D

i've decided i'll wait a year to see how it pans out. my guess is that it will either be another n9 or a lot of people's first but not last android phone. i don't think we'll see a second phone from jolla.

As an N900 user (ex-user, it's broken :( ), I'm unable to find what I'm looking for: a pocket computer (that means: hardware keyboard required) running a free and "true" UNIX system.

--There are some phones with physical keyboard, but they run Windows (no UNIX), BB (closed) or Android (not standard UNIX).
--Tizen? Serious doubts about it.
--Ubuntu Touch: few models, I'm afraid there won't be physical keyboard for a while. Or never.

I know it's unclear that a 'keyboard TOH' will be ever released. I'm betting €400 on it.
