Out of the box compatibility for Fremantle apps :)
|
Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?
Stuff like Knights of Pen and Paper
+ 1 Edition, Potshot Pirates 3D... besides similar captivating games, basically most of the stuff listed in the post linked from my sig, or suitable alternatives thereof. Without availability of proper software (yes, even closed-source and commercial stuff - especially), even the best underlying OS is basically worth nothing. |
Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?
2. Whatsapp(Wazapp will do)
No Wazzap will not do, we need the real Whatsapp, am guseing since android apps will be compatible we could use the android version |
Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?
This might sound silly but... webOS apps compatibility. Mojo is some kinda abandonware. Enyo is open source. The apps can run on QML WebView, though they need a couple of fixes (menus, faceless apps). So, not much effort needed for the whole team ;)
This would be really great |

Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?
Is there any information on the sim toolkit support? The Estonian and Lithuanian mobile-id is using sim toolkit and it would render the device pretty useless for a lot of Estonian/Lithuanian users.

Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?
I might try a bigword like app in the second half of Aug.

Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?

Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?
+1 to PGP.
Talking about Wayland instead of X11, just a question: how will affect to 'chroot' apps like Maemo's Easydebian? I bet console applications will run OK, but graphical ones? LibreOffice, GIMP...? |

Which is what Jolla's referred to it as, so far... The "Other Half" is just one (major) component of the "Jolla Phone". |
Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?
Naturally I do want some Google integration, but an even stronger ownCloud integration would be wunderbar.
The services to support must be : ownFileSync ownContact ownCalendar ownTask (Part of calender) ownFoto The nice to have must be : ownBookmark ownMusic (ownFileSync could do this job) ownNews ownNote already seems to be in place. |

I'm excited and I really hope there will be Nokia Maps/Drive for Sailfish! WhatsApp is also important, of course.

Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?
For Dropbox support I've ported dropN9 as Sailbox, which seems to work quite nicely on my Sailfish phone. So at least one open source client will be available at some point. And I bet that dropian etc will follow.

Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?
Big word-like apps is almost ready (two problems to be fixed, not sure whether it's not a library bug). It supports custom font, saving text between launches, forcing wrap anywhere. Any more features suggested?

Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?
I think that Buscatcher has not been mentioned yet? Runs on N900 and should be relatively easy (?) to port.

Re: What Applications would you like to see on Sailfish Devices?
I know many people want native applications for Sailfish but I was wondering for those applications people want ported, what would the functionality of the Active Covers be? I think that should also be given consideration since it would be nice for all Sailfish Apps to have the cover feature.
