This might be a stupid question but how do you change your picture/avatar? :o

Uhm, how? :D Seems like "show yourself in contacts list" isn't working

Re: [v0.1-20] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

Menu - Account.

parasemic 2014-01-12 12:28

Re: [v0.1-20] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

Where's this menu?? No 'account' in the pulley or settings atleast

Morpog 2014-01-12 12:35

Re: [v0.1-20] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

Settings page has a pulley menu too.

Hint: you can spot pulley menus on top or bottom by that subtle colored line on top/bottom.

Ohhh, had missed that

Re: [v0.1-20] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

Now that I think of it, there aren't many apps that have pulley menu after a another :o

Re: [v0.1-20] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

@coderus
Can you please change timestamp colour to match the current ambience? Like the colour contact status has (as seen in contacts view) instead of always white. This or maybe some brighter version of it (like contact name & date in conversations view). I think this will help to quickly differentiate and abstract other info from the content of the message.
Thanks

PD: I'd love to add this as an enhancement in github, but dont have an account.. and dont feel like creating one :-p

what do you think, why for example another persons text-color is not changing, like in the native messages-app it does?

coderus 2014-01-14 05:31

Re: [v0.1-20] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

by "another persons text color" you means what?

in messages-app, like when using sms/gtalk/fbook-"chat", own text is white and other persons text color is something from ambience.

Re: [v0.1-20] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

do you have troubles in reading messages text or recognizing incoming/outdoing messages?

Well, my point is just to clarify why is that happening, that text color is not changing, since I understand from what you told that color-"things" are following the ambience "scheme". Or maybe I just misunderstood. Nevertheless, I would answer to your question that, while there is no trouble etc, it would make a conversation easier to read.

coderus 2014-01-14 06:43

Re: [v0.1-20] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

because i have no reason for coloring them, i dont like many colored texts, i have nice colored backgrounds and think its enough. you can create own custom skin for conversation view, and if it will be good enough i will add it to application :)

So another persons text-color is not following then the color-scheme or the "principle" of ambience etc. since you change it to white :P but yeah, I get the point. Do you have any n00b-example/hint on making a skin?

coderus 2014-01-14 08:16

Re: [v0.1-20] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

its not white, its transparent highlight.

noobs no, you need to know QML. just edit DefaultDelgate.qml and place it to /home/nemo/.whatsapp/delegates

Well, not the font. It's always white. Tried with several ambiences.
And i'm okay with this, like it, i'm only talking about the timestamp. Just to "separate" from the real conversation.

PD: And i'm not talking about an impossition, not to force anyone, but glad if you include an option in settings.

Re: [v0.1-20] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

@Hariainm ask Jolla why items in settings always white and not colored ;)
you free to make custom skin and share it to public. I fit will be good enough i'll add it to package :)

I occasionally notice, that when I go from notifications to see a message I have received, there is no way to swipe back from current conversation it the keyboard is open. When I close the keyboard then the ability so swipe back gets re-activated.

Is this normal behaviour, since when selection conversation normally this does not occur and one can swipe back from the conversation.

Anyone else experiencing this? Tried to check the issues but didn't notice anything similar...

Same problem here. I think it's a bug. Of course you can report it if you want.

@coderus:

I assume you are aware of the contacts syncing problem and I will donate as soon as I can sync my contacts list :) Now conversations are limited to those who has sent me a message.

Hi, I just got my Jolla today and i wanted to give your Mitakuuluu a try (coming from a N9 with Wazzap), but i got a issue with registering the account. I got a 6 digit code by sms and when i enter it, it just keeps looping(or stalling) the 'Registering account' screen. I also tried rebooting the device several times.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I had the same problem. You have to remove your account from wazapp and try again.

This also worked for me :)

Okay i got the app running, but i can't seem to sync my contacts from the phonebook now (which i imported from my N9). When i select (even) one person from the list and pull to the left to add, i get a message 'failed to sync'.

Then there's a "bug" because I just tried and I can definitely go back when the keyboard is open, at least with some contacts. Not with all.

But I actually prefer this behaviour, I wish it would always work. It's a bit annoying to have to swipe down the keyboard to be able to get back.

I can also confirm this.

Navigation is not locked everytime the keyboard is open.

I am also with Ozymandis on the oppinion that it would actually be better if navigation was never locked

How I can listen to a recording sent by someone? I tried playing it with LLs video player but all I got was this, and I couldn't play it. http://imgur.com/J0D9yTa File format is .aac.

One option is to install android vlc player.

Re: [v0.1-20] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

I agree. It should not be locked if that will be possible?

Also I have noticed that client still not scroll all way down to latest message line when opening old conversation. I think this mostly happens when last message is multiline message.

These are just small polishing things. Application is gorgeous!Thank you again coderus. :)

Re: [v0.1-20] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

@Ozymandias seems to be little bug here. It should work always, i'll take a look. And you dont need to swipe, just tap anywhere, and keyboard hides :)

Try to write long message, then select big piece of text, and while selecting you accidentally swiping right and losing all entered text. It should be locked :)

Maybe possibility to choose in settings which way user wants it to work?
