Ho ho ho. +9% at Helsinki and +6% at NYSE. Could we break 3 USD today?

Why are there shortages? are they truly not churning them out en masse?

It's funny how obsessed you are with Windows Phone in general. Who is getting excited about Windows Phone 7.8? It's funny to hear 'upgrade' and 'Windows Phone 8' in the same sentence--I thought you couldn't upgrade Windows Phone 7 handsets to Windows Phone 8.

Long strategy. (read:it's losing value! Quick! Tell other people to buy so I can sell!)

The point is that iOS is way too 2009. Android is stale and boring. Symbian is dead. The only place where something is happening is WP. Won't even mention maemo, tizen et al. Jolla? So far just a bunch of vapor.

You remind me of those diehard Palm dudes or Symbian dudes. Their feet planted in past glory. Unable to see that they are as dead as their OS. I mean, Android certainly is the most popular OS, but also very boring. A phone is a phone. There really isn't that much exciting about them, but as of today WP phones are exciting because things are happening at that camp.

About to break 3 USD (at 2.99 right now). I assume many institutions that are shorting are going to cut their losses and buy back at 3-3.10 USD. Will we see epic short squeeze today?

edit. 3.01 USD

If by sky you mean slightly above $3.00 then you're correct. The huge amount of volume traded at $3.00 suggests a lot of stop/limit orders at that price. Once those clear (if) then the stock may start rising a little more. You can expect it to flirt around 2.99-3.01 in the meantime.

The next earnings release is coming on Jan 24th. It might hit $3.25-ish by then if reports of the Lumia WP8 range launch continue to be good-ish (well, atleast not as bad as they were...).

It's always nice when stocks goes over a even number. It's also intressting if Nokia could keep having high expectations for L920 and at the same time, decrease the Loss for the quarter. Another thing would be if Nokia or htc or samsung could push out new models in the lower segments as well to have more existance on the market. Dosent look very good but at least just a little less bad at moment.

Looks like it may cross three and stay there. I just wish they would churn out more of these Lumias...I ordered my cyan last Wednesday and it is still on back order...
