Hello i have CSSU (latest version) with the option to record 720 videos but somehow i have a tiny problem from time to time.

When i take a photo with my camera using Automatic Mode i get like 6-9 copies.

I tried the others Modes (Night, Action, Macro, etc) and the problem desapiers... so... why does this only happened with Automatic mode...

Something else when i copy videos from my computer to my N900 sometimes i get this multicopy videos so not sure if this is only my camera or another things messing around....

The camera goes black, but you get to record something?

If not you do have a problem =) otherwise you just need to keep trying and you'll see your problem gone.

I didnt try to record i thougth it was not working at all...
so, there is 720p record but no previs?... will try.

EDIT: Nope, is not recording.
As soon as i choose standard resolutions it shows previs and it records flawlessly.

try using a default/ customised sane voltage profile with SR disabled untill the new kp with new SR calibrations are out. remember to read the thread well. this has been asked many times before.

How is going everything?

nicolai, and freemangordon.
Im waiting to see if there are improvements on this.

Also if you want to increase the quality of the N900 Camera, actually much worse than must be, i have few ideas.

If you compare a stock photo with a raw photo, you can see there are few added postprocess filters.

1- Sharpness ( must be removed or set to 0 ) this ****, affects all the phones on market, including the newest ones, this produce sharpened images, but you will not believe, but with this, the pic will lose quality, its better to sharp in photoshop, and not in the phone....

2- Compression ( actually dissabled right? )

3- Color correction Filters maybe? need to check it out.

And for videos same thing... With higher bitrates, and supress that things, this camera will be perfect, same as RAW but in jpg, and video quality will be greatly increased.

Forgive my bad english and thanks!

Re: camera-ui2 (now a part of CSSU) (updated 09. May)

It was already said plentora of times, that camera-ui can't affect how libraries proceed RAW into final jpg (except for few parameters like jpg quality). so, if they're adding sharpness, nothing can be done about it.

On the other hand, we have RAW's already, and the cyan vignette thing has been hammered out (see CornerFix), so it shouldn't be much of issue.

I read it all over, but before, i know i have to re-search this new issue.
Isn't there any Q&A o FAQ or something alike already digested?

Is hard for the most of us who are not used to forums to even understand how a forum works, is even harder when not knowing where to go to search info. or what exactly to search.

Add to that the use of a foreign language to make you understand. (my case at least)

Sorry for the inconvenience, but is quite frustrating to not find anything more like a classic manual.

Thanks for your time.

EDIT: I'm sorry, but i went to re-read and started to bounce all around posts and threads... is very messy. And ome of the things they mention i dont even understand. (as you said SR for example)
I'm more lost than before.

An easy solution would be to install CPUTweak and load the HD Optimum profile - this would take care of most overclocking stuff for you.

You might also want to lock the frequency of CPU.
Code:

sudo gainroot
kernel-config lock 900

or replace 900 with your desired frequency.
