it seems so much larger on my system...

but then its set for autosize...

ah, now i see, reduce the fontsize and its much better :)

Here's the 2nd part of messing around with composition - transparent windows.

This is done via the transset program (which needs xcompmgr running) which I've uploaded to the same place.

EDIT: Uploaded the better transset-df too. Use whichever one (transset or transset-df) you wish.

So, Faheem, I just have to ask; would it be possible to set your desktop background to black then use a simple linux wallpaper display app (like the ones used by many lightweight windows managers), running in the background, using your "camera as background" technique, to (reasonably) display a changing wallpaper? Or is the performance hit too high?
