cat /sys/devices/platform/omap34xx_temp/temp1_input This ALWAYS returns a same value no matter how hot or cold your cpu is from what I see. I would love to get others to check this also to see if this value actually changes dynamically. |

How much will clocking down to 125mhz improv battery life? Anyone have a general idea? Seems like it might just even out clocking it to 800. |

Re: Overclock the N900?
Hey guys! I PMed Lehto and I asked him if I can host all of the custom kernels and he also now have access to the server and so he agreed and he will upload the custom kernels online so it would be much easier to obtain... also he has access to server so if there's an update he will easilly update the files!!
So wither today or tomorrow I will post a link here for all the people who want to download those custom kernels.. I will be putting up detailed tutorials on how to do this and if something goes wrong how to flash the N900 back to normal (this will be for the unexperienced users who wants to try this)... And of course there's a EULA there that will warn you on how dangerous this is that you guy will have to agree in order to continue and download the kernels, this way we make sure that we OBVIOUSLY stated that this is not safe and shouldn't be dont unless you are fully aware of what you might be causing for the N900... so with all that said I am glad that lehto have agreed on this and all I can say for now is stay tuned for the link.. :) (this is of course to all the people who still want to try the kernels and are waiting for them) |

Re: Overclock the N900?
I have my N900 doing the following all at the same time:
1. Playing mp3 via Symfonie with equalizer enabled. (heavy cpu) 2. Playing a xvid avi video via mplayer This uses about 80-100% of my CPU at a constant 1ghz. But. I left it on for about 5 mins. Still, the "temp1_input" value does not change from 31. Doesn't move. Quote:
