So no major flaws as of yet? And where did you get your pr1.2? I have it but have not installed it yet.

Funny enough, i did create a backup on my p.c, however i'm not using it (not that sentimental to any data i dont have on my NAS, my laptop could tell you... i frequently format, dual boot & triple boot on the same drive )

& i dont just flash the firmware on my n900 when i do flash it (clocking 5 times now), I also flash the emmc as well so any phone saved backup is jolly well gone cuz you get an out of box (factory default phone)

only info i really need is my contacts & calender info anyway..which can be synced from my other phone or outlook...I enjoy the thrill of going through the motions of going for alternate apps to the ones i have had before (except some staples e.g categorise, )

p.s
you could get back to your "now playing" song on pr1.1 by pressing the little equalizer thingy in the same location as well.(i liked the equalizer thingy)
but at least media player now works as it used to before pr1.1 yipee..movie streaming is the shizzle!

Wow, I only pressed the equalizer thingy to access my home network. Thanks for the info.

Have you noticed any new features or qiurks that you want to share. Seems like we are the only ones posting about PR1.2.

Sorry if this has been mentioned already.

does anyone know the code for pr1.2rc for the below.

ive tried generic, 002 and so on. searched high an low and now i'm stuck.

If your Settings - About Product is showing <unknown> after kernel mod: (It's not important but for those who care)
1. Launch xterminal
2. sudo gainroot (assuming you have rootsh installed)
3. apt-get install --reinstall mp-fremantle-generic-pr (this name can be different. instead of generic, it may be 002 or 003 etc)
4. reboot

I don't know, but I had good luck with this change in step 3. above:

3. apt-get install --reinstall mp-fremantle-*

That seems to take care of all the variants I've run into.

It is not needed. LPR1.2 re-flash kernel, root FS, and CMT I think.

There is no need to flash back to the original kernel. That is only if u are updating the firmware, not when you are flashing or re-flashing the firmware.
