For some reason my Oregon Trail crashes right after clicking Instant Play.

Do it at ur own risk:
Code:

root
Code:

chmod 755 /home/user/com* (the name of the game folder)
Code:

chown -r user:users /home/user/com* (the name of the game folder)

Worked perfectly.

Just a little note; it's chown -R and not a small r.
But thanks!

why don't you use tracker-cfg gui its much easier you can add any folder you want then press rebuild database

Just a follow-up to solving the problem of having all the game sound files being indexed by tracker and listed in media player when adding webos games to use with preenv. This method doesn't require messing with tracker:

I've found that if hide your webos game folder in MyDocs, it stops this problem completely so instead of using

/home/user/MyDocs/webos/

use a hidden folder (a dot in front of the name)

/home/user/MyDocs/.webos/

I use the visible folder webos folder for dropping in games I want to try and once I am happy it works ok, I move the game into the hidden folder and re-symlink the game files/folder in the home/user/webos.

Yes,I did. But in fact,this preenv has some problems:
color bit has been reduced to 8(I don't know why);
it ignores double buffering.
libsdl-sge is not compiled for N900, I don't know why;
PDL is not complete;
and at last, I am not sure if javispedro is going to develop this application anymore. :(

Preenv 0.1.2 has been initialized; first I should say sorry to the developer, second , I should bring you its new features:
* Now integrates with liblocation for Location stuff.
* Creates a separate thread to run GLib mainloop.
* Generates a "unique" ID.
* More calls implemented.
* Includes -dbg package
* SDL_Haptic stubs.
well, the first two lines fix the problem with GLib(segmentation fault and SDLGL,I hope so.) , line 3 fixes the ID error line 4 fixes the "not implemented" bug , line 5 fixes the "-dbg is mandatory" problem(Happened in some games but I don't know why it is not listed in the game compatibility list), line 6 fixes the SDL_Haptic open and SDL_Haptic close problems.
Problems not yet worked on:
External Forced Buffering that causes blank screen problem;
changing the 800*480 to 480*800 in portrait games to fix the bad scaling problem;
PDL library improvement;
better integration with opengles;
changing the emulator media player from the weak gstreamer to something more powerful like MAFW(Nokia's stock media player) with extra decoders.

N900 power kernel has the potential for the fake-multitouch, tough I doubt that this kind of feature is going to be developed on this application, If you don't kind N900, so go ahead. Buy the newborn N8 because it has most of these games and it's multitouch,light weighed, and has lots of more features.

You are not explaining yourself very well... (and MAFW uses GStreamer btw).

You Have my thanks for the latest version release; but first I should tell you that your program(preenv-dbg) has broken dependencies, check them again; and what do you mean:"Explaning yourself", If you mean about the programming, I should tell you that I am a C++ programmer and not a noob; you have added comment that gstreamer and MAFW are the same? but they are a little different as the MAFW also includes the Extra Decoders and subtitle support with it, If using the MAFW is not possible ,then use MPlayer instead.

It's a debug package; you should not install it unless I ask you or you want to use gdb (to create more meaningful stack traces). The missing dependencies are in the Nokia repos (like gdb).

I mean that what you're telling makes no sense to me (possibly because I'm not a native speaker, who knows); if you want, you can send code instead.

They're GStreamer codecs, MAFW uses GStreamer. What codec are we talking about (and what game?).
