I ordered on the 8th of August already. :D

What does this mean?

"SW updates for one year, after which a continuation program will follow"

Do you have to purchase updates again?

EDIT:
Someone on TJ is already asking for it, let's wait for a response.

Why start sales before the image is ready? What's the point for the customer?

PS Going to buy only when they announce F5122 dual-sim support...

Hopefully bluetooth will be fixed until 27th Sept. Else, release date and 50€ price is good news.
Propably veskuh should take a lesson in close up screen recordings from mighty leszek!
I watched for sfos porn and got a talking sailor :D

I read that as timeframe for jollas commitment to this "port".
After 12 month they will stop optimizing hardware Adaption and continue general support as on all other devices?

Great.

My only concerns at this point are the bluetooth functionality, and Jolla slipping the actual release date (especially the US one since that seems to be 'soon' status compared to other countries).

the bluetooth we can probably fix, unfortunately the kernel support for these broadcom combo chips isn't particularly amazing...

"SW updates for one year, after which a continuation program will follow" One more blog post with vague explanations. This is definitely Jolla.

I remember Jolla mentioning one of the reasons for their decision on providing image to the consumer instead of devices with preinstalled SFOS was expanding the number of countries they can make Sailfish X available. But now we learn that there is still a limitation in terms of availability. Although I cannot find sound reasons for such decision, I think I will just stop trying to understand Jolla and sell the X I have bought a month ago.

that probably has to do with EU bureaucratic regulations. i can't understand why they can't setup bitcoin payments and accept money from every single place in the world

And.... For those within the Tablet refund program: there will be a way to utilize Tablet refund as payment for Sailfish X. We’ll update on that closer to the sales start day, stay tuned!
