Lol, what? In other words "We screw you, but you'll get free candy. Wanna talk about it?"

Yup. That sentence alone is clear evidence that they consider this nothing more than a funny game. If even after this anyone takes them seriously then I feel sorry for him/her but hey, he/she gets what he/she deserves.

Does anyone know how many tablet backers were from the US? There's no doubt that there's a lot of free software talent in the US that is completely untapped by Jolla at the moment because you can't really use the jPhone over there.

I know Americans from other forums who would have ordered a jPhone but didn't because of that, and they jumped on the tablet. I doubt those people want a crappy Intex phone either, so how are Jolla going to get them developing?

Jolla needs all the developers they can get right now.

If the surprise was the 'brain' of a PuzzlePhone running Sailfish and you had to buy the rest would you be happy with it?

Well that is a one possibility but you would have to wait it 9 months(and who knows there can be delays).

By start ship the tablet and stop screwing its supporters(devs) is a pretty good start. Yeah, let's start with the basics.

I second that. Only it is to late now...
Instead of Marc as a rockstar, Jolla would have needed some silent EU Lobbyist to save that 100m€ in subventions to build an OS clinging with EU privacy standards within 10 years.

I am fully aware that the Desktop i use (KDE) made huge progress from EU money they got in 2007.

As much as i am against centralization. That woud have been a good cause.

Those that still support Jolla want either to switch their backing to a donation or still want the tablet. The rest, either want their money back or want to spread as much vitriol as possible and/or move on, if not all three.

So when you post something wonderful regarding Jolla is totally normal and OK, but when you said that you want money back and trow crap on them, then this is outrageous? Sounds to me that
some Jolla followers have issue with handling a critics... For me it is perfectly clear. No one would say a single bad word of Jolla if they were correct, so for me the only one who is to blame is Jolla itself.

So when you keep regurgitating the same **** over and over is totally normal and OK but when you return to your normal modus operandi your money, your crap blah blah it's outrageous. Sounds to me some pseudo greek followers started crapping their pants. Blame yourself for supporting indiegogo rather than buying a product, go make us and yourself a favour and buy yorrself a finishewd product where you can throw same tantrum and maybe, just maybe someone will back you up except dave. Apple will love your criticisms and will throw 5 geniuses at you whenever you start throwing one, this is your company dude, go away

Nope. I didn't insinuate any of that. Next time you want to make an assumption, ask instead. It'll speak leagues of your ability to have a rational conversation. I'm currently not sold it is a possible outcome with you involved. Care to prove me wrong?

Now, down to business. I'll state it once. I want this vague ******** communication gone and replaced with actual facts, dates and deliverables. My faith is not to be taken lightly - nor is my money wherever I decide to invest it. Crowdsourcing is indeed a gamble and this campaign is the first to not deliver that I've backed. I'll exercise even more caution in the future.

Say whatever you feel, I truly don't give two ****s what you say, think or feel. I have my own feelings about it all. But in the end, being continually angry doesn't resolve anything. Just makes your words less likely to be taken as you mean them and reduced to mere angst and rage induced drivel.

You'll have no more audience in me. Rage on. I'm sure it's probably therapeutic. Me? I just want this to end in a positive light. And losing hope that it will daily.

I cannot be more simple in how I state this and trust me when I state that I've picked and chose each word carefully.

I think its best IF we sack this thread get some more Apple stuff while we are waiting for the Intex Aqua fish sail tablet to be shipped to us Q3 2016.

Correct me if I'm wrong but It's obvious you guys can't handle the pressure... :D

I think its time for a poll

How would you like your jolla money to go out?
1. Full Refund
2. Tablet
3. Replacment device
4. Change to donation
5. Other

Is there any way I can get my money back from Jolla for the tablet? It's not that I don't want to support Jolla anymore, but I don't really have a need for a tablet currently (which I did have when I backed the funding) and I need the money for more important things right now :(

Lol, what? In other words "We screw you, but you'll get free candy. Wanna talk about it?"

Btw, I wonder would it be surprise like with special edition Jolla Phone for first wave, that became special TOH, that was just special colour and ringtone, which was sold at shop after all :) Or would be this surprise like promised opensourcing few years back?
I think if they fail on their promises so much, they need to do more than a "surprise" and moreover asking for people to be positive and speculate. :)

Obviously none of those mean much to those who contributed. Open sourcing won't bring any device to anyone. Jolla Phone manufacturing has already ceased, so it's unlikely there is going to be "special edition" based on that HW. More likely it has something to do with the coming Intex phone and maybe some "special edition" of that device. Other possibility is some other manufacturer creating another kind of device. However, I doubt it as it has been quiet on that front, if that manufacturer doesn't want to do it "the Apple way" and have devices ready to ship on announcement. Positive side is that the story continues, at least some time, but I don't personally believe there is going to be another Jolla branded device manufactured by Jolla Ltd.

Yes, I think this was said quite clearly between the lines by Antti Saarnio when he told Jolla is back in business. Jolla's investors are interested in Sailfish OS and not on the device business side.

Re: The Future of Jolla's Tablet

JulmaHerra, please read for comprehension, keeping in mind that ZogG is not as fluent in English as you are. I think what he is getting at is the Jolla's proven track record of "special" offers "just for you" that turned out to be a cursed gift: the "special" First One preorder where the First Ones ended up worse off when they still had not received their phones while random strangers could already buy theirs in a shop... or the "special, just for you" discount coupons from just over a year ago with the net effect that the price was dropped for everybody immediately after some naive fools (including yours truly) used their coupons...

Some people may have a short or selective memory but for the rest of us, expecting that the Tabletgate "special surprise" is going to be in a similar vein is the most natural thing to do.

My reference was that they already promised special Jolla edition for first backers of the phone few years back and it ended up having special ringtone and nothing more. I'm pretty sure they have nothing to offer, so they just use "soon", "speculate" and "something" like always :)

i meant special Jolla phone as they promised special edition for first backers and they they said it would be special TOH whcih ended up being special colour and ringtone. After few months TOH with this "special" colour was sold at their shops.
It's always for gave as much promises, get as much money for them :)
