Stupid question, but can I have Mitakuuluu and the Android-version of Whatsapp installed on my Jolla at the same time, switching between them on a daily basis without having to reregister? I'm curious to try Mitakuuluu :)

Yes, with two different phone numbers. With one number you can't because Whatsapp service does not allow it. Switching of course is possible but practically not on daily basis as you phone number will be banned that way.

I switched between Wazzap and Whatsup back and forth on Harmattan without any need to reregister on my N9 so I hoped it was possible to do the same on Jolla. Maybe it's not the same switching from official Whatsapp to native Mitakuuluu?

With the same number, IMEI and system identification (if Mitakuuluu identifies as Android client) would be possible I think. I don't know if in the system identification Android version is sent, I suppose that it is, so it might be the same that the one of the Sailfish Android machine too.

With latest version (0.2-2) everything is working very smoothly for me at least. I'm with my wife on same chat group and messages are arriving to both phones on same second (wife has android phone with official whatsapp client). I'm using wlan at home and 3g when not home so switching between networks happens many times per day. Only issue is %1 in notifications.

Thank you very much!!

Hey there,

first of all I want to say thank you for developing this beauty!

I have been using Mitakuuluu for two weeks now and every time someone writes something in one of the groups I have, the contact appears in my home list of Mitakuuluu. I have to delete them every single time they write something in the group and that is kind of anoying :(

I don't know if it is known / correct, I couldn't find anything about it.

Any info about this?

Thanks in advance!

Disable "Accept messages from unknown contacts" to disable that feature.
