Hi Friend,

Were you able to install Leafpad before anything else? As well as installing "rootsh" and bzip?

Or...if you're still having difficulty following the written tutorial, I made a video version of the same. Just visit this other forum where I uploaded a YouTube video: http://www.symbianize.com/showthread.php?t=321834.

Just to check:

1. You are connected to the Internet while doing this, correct?
2. You added the "extras-testing" and "extras-devel" repositories in the Application Catalogs of the Application Manager, correct?
3. Did you start from scratch (re-flashed your phone)?

Okay, no problem. :) Although I felt somewhat disappointed that it didn't work for you. Hope you can get it to work when you feel like trying it again.

Strange that flashing doesn't work on your phone. I have done so in Windows 7 and in Linux (Ubuntu) and they worked for me. In any case you may want to visit our thread in another forum, I also uploaded a video tutorial on flashing the phone. Just click here.

when i downloaded the 2 firmwares,i was confused because the file turns out to be a vlc media file. and that's the reason why i cannot copy it in the flasher. am still trying to reflash my device anyway.

Thanks for appreciating. :) Nothing free is stable, just to set proper expectations. ;)

Yup ads, etc. are mostly in French because the server is located in France.

Sorry I'm not from Pasay. I'm from Quezon City.

None that I know of. But is that feature necessary? We can simply delete and not read the unwanted SMS anyway.
