i got lots!!!! but when i delete the /and folder (where nitdroid is installed) my root is back to normal.

@mido.fayad:

:eek: what???? so flash first? oh men!!!! i need to stop for a while then :)

thanks guys, i need apps installed on my n900 and increasing rootfs is uninstalling some of 'em, maybe i'll get another n900 and do the multi boot there :)

The native 256 mb rootfs got mounted when you mounted the sdcard or the phone cd'ed to the wrong /and that happens sometimes? It happend to me once. You can easiely install and dualboot NITdroid it wont take very much rootfs space, i think it's only the kernels neaded for multiboot ;)

e: No need for flashing in this situation just do this in xterm as root if it happens again:
cd /and
rm -rf *

@gabby131 well don't know, just bad luck i guess. As i Said it only happend to me once so i think it's just some random thing and easy to fix :)

Yes you can repeat again... Repeat the step where you incountered your problem and go on from there :)

As you said the rootfs space came back when you deleted the /and folder, that would suggest the sd card had not been mounted to /and so when you extracted the tar, all the files went into a folder in your rootfs space rather than the sd card.

create the /and folder again redo the instructions and it should be fine.

Edit: please use the help thread in future. This thread should be left clean for DJ steve, Jay-c and E-yes to post important announcements. I am subscribed to the help thread so get an email when people need help and will normally pop on to help if I can.

Hello i also tryed to install the latest Android Release from DJ Steve. I followed this Tutorial:

the NITDroid-The-Flying-World/ Installation Guide. Anything works well and i also didnt had any Errormessages. But when i now boot my Android i do end up in a black screen with blinking cursor.

Please are there any Tips what i maybe did wrong?

Steve had some problems with the new release. When you boot it, it creates a black hole :p
