Mine is 'Made in China' bought from Nokia dealer. it has the 2 Nokia videos, some pictures including the standard bubbles screen. So yeah, I think yours has been flashed

Gents, Ladies, and Aliens, I've updated the OP with:
Issues & their workarounds
Extremely handy apps.

There's not much there at all right now, but it's a start.
I'll only be doing this about 1/wk, so I have to trawl through lotsa **** to find the gems.

If you know of any useful tips, workarounds, or apps, please post them.
Instead of asking for help, please share your knowledge for a change.
I want to gather the collectives gained knowledge thus far.

Hopefully that means the white N9 will be available for order worldwide soon.*

IIRC Nokia said it would be available for order once PR1.1's out.
I believe it's already available for pre-order in Finland.
