My Dell estimated delivery date is 12/10 also so I'm waiting for my delayed delivery email :(

Bastids! Did I mention Dell's website is awful/broken and their customer support is worse? There's about a 2 second delay on the phone line which makes the conversation with the non English speaking person that much more difficult.

Cmon Nokia, lets get these phones out. I'm languishing here with a beat up old Pearl 8100 here for heaven's sake!

shop.nokia.co.uk has week starting 23rd as the estimated date for delivery, was told the same thing over the phone.

and trust me, he really sounded tired and exhausted, it was with a sigh he ended ;)

Nuknuk can no longer talk, or type.... he goes into a frenzy and just garbles "No N900 make nuk nuk go Insannnnnnnne" - homer simpson stylee....

You can currently find him sitting near the lightbulbs on his ceiling chattering his teeth together.....

If it goes on any longer he will be chasing every post'person he see's down the street biting their ankles until they give him an N900.....

On a good news note - i hear he ordered a "Frikkin Laser Penguin" - but delays mean it may not come until 2011 and without the lasers, or penguin for that matter.....

It's more likely these frikkin laser penguins have stolen the N900s building up a giga laser controlled by a cluster of all the N900 to melt the polar caps to drown the evil polar bears so they will never get them!

Why even mention a shipping date? Last monday they issue a press release stating it's being shipped. Motorola/Verizon didn't do that with the Droid. They posted an "available" or drop date. The phone will be available on 6/11/09. So I go to the store on that date, and behold I can buy one. No funny business, just solid communication.

Negative stuff? Seems that Nokia and their lack of logical PR and product awareness is creating the negativity. Announcing that the N900 is "shipping" (boats from Korea?) when from the consumer perspective this means "shipping to them from seller" only helps create problems.

Nokia is sometimes their own worst competitive enemy.

I just wanted to add at this point, that DELL seems to act this way when they offer products they are not able to deliver in a given timeframe or at the offered price. Many years ago i wanted to buy a Core 2 Duo Extreme PC and i was quite surprised that DELL offered a C2D extreme System for a good price at a time when the CPU wasn't available on the market at all. I waited and waited for the confirmed delivery and after a while i called them asking "When do i get my PC ?" and they told me that they have problems with my credit card and that the neighborhood i live in is well known for credit card fraud ! Since those days i have no good word left for DELL !
Btw i live in a quite wealthy area :cool:

Is that wealth actual liquidity, or wealth due to the credt card fraud? ;)

Then again, us folks in the US are experiencing artificial liquidity due to our government printing money without a correlating growth of our GDP. No wonder gold is in low supply :rolleyes:

Come on guys. "Started delivery" is a definite date that Nokia can say: "hey, it's now done, we are starting to deliver these to the various countries and resellers".

Then, for each country and each reseller and each circumstance, you would need a mile long paper to cover all the various dates.

SEEE!!! they always do it right after i predict? SEEE! I was 11-9-09, seppuku, and they announc shipping on 11/10/09. Then I am 11/(14-17)/09, and they announce retail availability on the 19TH!!!! I should have just been 11/12/09 and we would have had it last week!

Aye aye NukNuK, bit pissed off the day cause i'm back at sea, but it's better than being pissed on, well so they say.

Before anybody jumps on this this post and says be patient, we were told on numerous occassions by Nokia Uk that our devices were to be shipped last Monday.

Anyhoo, i'm nightshift all week so i never managed my 2 or 3 calls to them today, so Nukster i'm relying on you bud.

Just Phoned Nokia at 240 regent street. london. The girl said they will have them for sale on Friday. I asked her if i needed to order, she said no. i phone at 18.20
