if you're getting the text to screen error, n900 is not seeing the android files. Make sure you have the back cover closed as sd card wont mount without it. If it is then chances are the files are not on the sd card (or correct partition. Remount mmcblk1p2 in maemo to /and and check the files are there.

checked a lot of times. the file isn't there.
no errors when I decompress the file
but I can't see the file in the tar:

hmmm, that all looks fine. Think it must be a bad download. try redownloading the rootfs, wipe the partition and extract again.

i tried to type 'umount /dev/mmcblk1p1', and it said no such file or directory, i also rebooted n900 several times, whereas the problem remained the same, how can i solve it?

This happens sometimes. If the sd card is an unsupported file system, maemo will not mount it. do not worry and move onto the next step.

Maybe I misunderstood, but I've read that Nitdroid runs with CPU always at 100% load @ 600mhz. Seems very unhealthy, and not exactly good for battery life either.
Is it true, and if so, why isn't solving that the top priority of the developers?

It is being looked at but is not exactly a straight forward job so may take some time. There is so much other stuff that needs doing before it is a fully operational OS yet I think most people run dont this constantly for it to be a big issue.
