Re: Nokia N9 Teaser - is this meego or harmattan?
maybe that rm-680 has same outdated hardware (for today specs) when first rumors came last year and they didnt have ready software back then, but they made some spiecies and now they want to give/sell what ever to devs so "lankku" would have already some apps when it arrives. Actualy this is quite amusing to speculate what comes up =)

Re: Nokia N9 Teaser - is this meego or harmattan?
someone thought about the dimensions of it... not about the screensize, its ok for me if it has 3,5-4inch, but the thickness...
for me this is the first reason at the moment why i would like to have a new successor for my n900 |
Re: Nokia N9 Teaser - is this meego or harmattan?
For me, this is a few months too late.
I probably would have bought it if it was available before Qt's Black Friday, February 11th, or even better, before February 9th, when Incompetence Incorporated leaked his plan to burn down Nokia. Pros: + Good OS + Good hardware Cons: - No stylus - Stephen Elop (deal breaker) I'd reconsider, probably even buy, if there turned out to be a stylus inside there somewhere. |

What I do know is: - there won't be a stylus, - the screen is going to be capacitive, with no support of pressure levels, - Nokia R&D is cut and the MeeGo part will be further reduced once this device is out, - it'll start at a recommended £400 or higher, - support will be **** poor, because Nokia is firing everybody and even today Maemo support is considered to be lacking, - there'll be no in-brand upgrade path within a 12 months life cycle. There's a lots of cons, though + it's going to be a full OS where all competition use sandboxes or trimmed down OSs. That's an important Pro, isn't it? Let's see what LG comes up with. I think Intel should come out with Intel branded, HTC built devices. Like everybody else. |
