Re: [Android] Guide to getting NITdroid to run.

A lot of others here have got it to run on the same hardware. If I were to take a wild guess, I'd say that the problem might be with your nolo, which is a couple of versions behind. Upgrading might fix it, but you might want to take a second opinion first ;)

Re: [Android] Guide to getting NITdroid to run.

I know its not ready for prime time or regular use but a few questions:

Does the calendar work for you? Mine blinks the screen and goes back to the desktop.
Contact synch doesnt work
I don't see the Terminal app even though it says the app is installed.

Anyone?

hey guys I can't seem to get past the flashing step. Here's the output of the flasher program:
marty@marty-laptop:~/Desktop/nitdroid$ sudo ./flasher-3.0-static -f -k zImage-nitdroid-n8x0 --enable-rd-mode -R
flasher v0.9.0 (Jan 19 2007)

Suitable USB device not found, waiting
USB device found found at bus 007, device address 016
Found device RX-34, hardware revision 1301
NOLO version 1.1.16
Version of 'sw-release': <no version>
Sending kernel image (1717 kB)...
100% (1717 of 1717 kB, avg. 13736 kB/s)
Flashing kernel... done.
The device is now in R&D mode

I get the nitroid logo and no further. Any guess as to what to do?

Re: [Android] Guide to getting NITdroid to run.

Did you install it on your SD or your internal memory?
I followed the process and had it installed on the internal memory, not on the SD. I actually had to remove the SD otherwise it wouldn't work.

Re: [Android] Guide to getting NITdroid to run.

put it on the SD... so I should install it on internal memory? How would ubuntu display that like /dev/sda or something else?

Re: [Android] Guide to getting NITdroid to run.

Run dmesg with the SD then run it again without the one that wasn't removed is the internal memory :-)

Thanks, sarathmenon, after I upgraded my N810 to diablo, everything works as advertised. Now NITdroid is running on my N810, many thanks to everyone!
