Saturn: thanks for the link I will check it out later. Interesting to note that you haven't had any problems, could be my other theory that it is clashing with another app; which I hoped wouldn't be the case as it will take some time to test.

My recaller widget suddenly broke its functionality. I m using the latest version 2.1.0-5. Reboot doesnt help here.

From the Recaller Wiki page:

If you encounter a problem with the widget, please remove/delete it from the Home screen, then open X-Term and launch the widget manually by typing:

python2.5 /usr/lib/hildon-desktop/recaller.py

You can now see some output from the widget. Now switch to the Home screen and work with the widget - you can then control the output in X-Term and report any errors visible.

I solved it by installing the package "flac" from devel.

Hi all, I'm a n00b here, and I have a problem with Recaller that I can't seem to solve without help.
I have been using Recaller 2.0.0-7 happily for the last year, and recently the app has tried to update to version 2.1.0-5. Every time this update has failed with 'Some application packages required for installation are missing', and details reports ths is 'gstreamer0.10-plugins-good-extra'.
I uninstalled Recaller, and hoped a fresh reinstall would be be OK but I get the same installation error, so can no longer use this really useful app.
Can someone please help me reinstall?

gstreamer0.10-plugins-good-extra is in the normal SSU repo.

Try this:
open xterm
then:

sudo gainroot

apt-get install gstreamer0.10-plugins-good-extra

then paste the output here.

i am having problems installing recaller on my Nokia n900.. i dont why but it takes.install file , prepares for installing and even starts downloading but in few mins it hangs up and does not download... i have recently updated to to latest Software version 21.2011.38-1.004

before that my recaller was working gr8 but not its unable to install .. pls help me guys..
