that's what it is on mine, and it works great. - The righthand screenshot oin my previous post shows my settings. Also ignore the service restart should be (as root) Code:
/etc/init.d/now-paying-notifier restart |
Re: "Now Playing" app
Got it! :D
Hey, is there a way to change the coloring, look, or feel of the banner or can it only be used with it's default settings? |
Re: "Now Playing" app
I finally see what was wrong earlier.
I need to have Xterm open root /etc/init.d/now-playing-notifier restart in order for this to work. Once I close Xterm, it stops doing anything. Is this the same for you, needing to have Xterm open? |
Re: "Now Playing" app
Cool - Glad you got it working - it uses the standard Hildon taskmanager or banner functionality, so the only way to theme it would be by theming the whole desktop.
Mine does not need xterm open to run. Sounds like you may be running it directly from the terminal. A restart should make everything right. I really find this little utility really helpful, and have it on all my devices. |
Re: "Now Playing" app
^ Do you mean reboot or restart?
|
Re: "Now Playing" app
Restart, either from terminal or just power down the device and power back on.

sudo /etc/init.d/now-playing-notifier stop sudo /etc/init.d/now-playing-notifier start This did it for me. Not sure why. But yeah, I can close out Xterm and the notification script still works great. Thanks again for all of the help. :) |
Re: "Now Playing" app
Hey.
Is there a way to make all notifications go to the hildon banner instead of the task manager? I use Modest and I think that would be a neat feature to have this. :) |
