New version 0.8 hopefully fix this bug.

One question what does the number 96 mean at the bottom under the settings tab of this widget?

It is the size in pixel used for the icon. You can change the
icon size with the slider at the bottom.

even though it's not helpfull, it is true. after updating to the newest version, a lot of my widgets disapeared and i had to readd them.

Not that I'll make a big thing out of readding a couple of widgets but, it's still a bug.

I was just a bit annoyed :)
Thanx for your work, but I still got the same issue with your newest version.
All my widgets disappeared :(

I will take a look. There may still some problems with configurations
left from older versions. You may try to remove the config file
(".connectnow-home-widget", in your home directory (/home/user)).
First remove all connectnow widgets, remove the config file and than
add and configure your connectnow widgets again.
