Hello all,
due to OC, i can now run more apps with good speed at the same time at my n900.
Give a look, 40 apps running, phone alive:

My menu icons don't "bounce" when I click into the menu or on More. How do you enable the icon transitions or is it a different firmware than PR 1.1.1? Is it Theme related?

As I expected, you decided to continue hijacking this thread. My answer was not enough for you.

If you are overwhelmed by the size of the thread, just try reading the last few pages and post an inquiry.

There is a really good FAQ by jakiman here

Re: N900 overclock tests/results and new versions

My OC kernel results:

- ran Titan's maemo 19 for several days with /etc/pmconfig modified at different #'s. Negligible speed impact and the device got hotter during GPS, bluetooth AD2P, and tethering usage (Windows7 laptop & PC Suite).

- ran Titan's maemo20 kernel with /etc/pmconfig set at 250/850 for the last 3 days with the same negligible speed and warmer device temperatures. GPS, bluetooth AD2P, and tethering work fine. But on a long run today using GPS (eCoach) & bluetooth the battery drained completely and the phone shut-down.

My N900 background:
- It's an early Dell-sourced unit from when they first came out (don't know if that makes a difference).
- The device is fully updated to PR1.1.1
- I'm using flasher-3.5 to restore a stock kernel in between flashing OC kernels
- I use Conky to verify the proc is operating in the wider range set in /etc/pmconfig

PLUG FOR USING FLASHER-3.5:
For kicks, I removed the maemo20 kernel via App Manager and then rebooted the phone. It wouldn't reboot (no surprise, no kernel!). i plugged it into my laptop via USB, booted with the 'U' key held down, and then restored a stock kernel via flasher-3.5 in under 10 seconds.

On to experiment w/ Lehto's kernels.....

It is a screenshot modified with GIMP on my Mac and then displayed in Maemo's photo viewer at fullscreen. The heat sink strapped onto the back of my N900 is the original by Intel that came with my desktop CPU. :)
