it combines the Display Settings and Sound Settings into one icon in the status bar rather than using the 2 default ones.

I resize to 800x480. I think the usable width is less than 800 but the N800 will stretch/scale/center it based on what you tell it to do.

Here's my current desktop. It's simple, but I thought I'd share...

The wallpaper is from Neal Stephenson's (official) website.

The theme is Nuvo.
GPE Summary, on the left, displays my calendar events and todos.
FM Radio and the Search app are there on the bottom-right.
I'm using the latest version of Simple-Launcher for the apps launcher (i.e., not IDEA).
And, last, Other Maemo Weather.
