So it makes sense to include a portrait browser but no keyboard? Please explain that to me because it makes zero sense to me.

That's because you are so wrong. Just because you can get someone to agree with you doesn't prove your point. Making apps prove their innocence would cause unnecessary delay. What if PR1.2 had had to prove that it was perfect? When would it have come out?

How can you even say this, what is going on in your mind? no way am i even wrong yet alone soo wrong because it has now became common knowledge on this forum that some apps do indeed screw up the OS !.
I appreciate constructive comments but the comments you are making are very wrong and to be honest i just don't understand why your saying what your saying.... you think i am some "noob" that says something without knowing huh.
Please do be careful what you say because it can very easy turn into an argument.
In the world of programming progression can only take place when everything is looked at and put right and if someone makes a comment it should ALWAYS be looked into instead of pointless and aimless talk, that is the only way this community will progress past the argumentative stage and move on to better days.

After reading many of the problems with the N900 something is becoming very clear and that is the OS of the N900 is getting damaged enough to put it into a loop situation and re-booting problems are now becoming more and more of a ongoing situation with the N900.
One of the most important part of ANY application developed for the N900 or any OS should always have a COMPLETE uninstall option that is simply either not taken into consideration not working or not implemented within the app itself.
The countless reasons now for re-flashing are becoming more and more apparent and all down to bad programming that is either NOT checked out properly with enough field testing or checked for un-installation PRIOR to being released as a credible installable application on this forum.
If an application cannot be proved to be capable of un-installation COMPLETELY leaving the os EXACTLY as it was prior to installation then it is leading to a complete re-flash situation and should never be allowed as a credible application to start with.
These are my thoughts and i would love to read other people's thoughts regarding this.

It doesn't make sense but complaining about it now is...

The changelog has been out. We all knew what was coming. We knew what bugs were fixed and what weren't. Why the sudden outrage now?

Besides if the portrait browsing without a keyboard pisses you off, you could always use Opera. It has a portrait keyboard

Well obviously PR 1.2 has issues but you cant say that it sucks or its worse than PR 1.1.1.

I agree that vkb is horrible and on top of that it makes little sense to have portrait browser but landscape vkb + if you try to bookmark a website it also changes to landscape mode which is stupid :)

If people now look at that thread they will see a perfect example of how this community can be bad.
Many members jumped on me over this and called me an idiot basically.
It does not matter to them that i come from a pcb cad design and programming background for over 2 decades?.
All that matters is that people see sense and start to listen to people now and then because untill that does indeed happen this community is going no where !.

It doesn't have Flash and Opera's user agent says Opera mobile facebook and most Google websites open in mobile mode

This is a matter of personal preference. I think the VKB with the an-Droid theme is awesome
