Re: [Testers needed] New pulseaudio package

Ok guys
I have some business events and I want to roll back to default pulse audio.
Keep in mind I pinned.
How to roll back to default?

I got power-kernel and extra-codecs. I have not experienced any problems.

@dashti
Did you read this thread fully?
If so. Then could you please tell us what instructions did you try and what were the error messages?

Also this is devel stuff, ring problem is known (if you read this thread you know this).

It looks like that announcing devel stuff here TMO what includes changes to Core of maemo is not good idea. This thread and hildon-desktop thread is somewhat filled with users who do not have any idea what they are doing.

This is why we can't have anything nice :)

ETA: Oh dear it actually works! Omgomgomg. Finally.

My biggest gripe with the audio was that it was basically single tasking. I had to cut audio every time I did something to avoid being cut. To be precise, it was impossible to browse with audio running. Every link I pressed, stutter. OC didn't help.

I am now typing this with instinctiv happily humming in the background. Finally, no more stutter.

I'll be keelping my eye (ear) on notifications - my endless source of shame. Din-crrrrr-ng-ng. I think people believe I have a new age gag ringtone.

Tomorrow I buy a hat so I can take it off to you. Thank you.

Well I'm too big of a newbie to unpack those files in the terminal, and I say that it's every man for his own actions.

I've watched this thread since it was fresh and I've done nothing relating to applying this fix, because I don't yet fully understand what's going on here. Its a choice. This is exactly the right kind of place for stuff like this.

I'm not sure if it's related, I have the pulseaudio package installed and noticing that my N900 is crashing when I attempt to surf the web via MicroB or Firefox 1.1 and listen to MP3's via the Media Player. I'm not sure if it's related to pulseaudio as this is my first time trying this since I've purchased my N900 in May. It works for about 3-5 minutes, then it crashes and reboots. The MP3's are stored in the internal (device) memory. Other than that, I do not encounter any other issues with the new pulseaudio package.

Are you overclocked? Mine heats up a lot not that it no loger stutters. Could be OC related (temperature). Will test.
