I confirm, its working fine now from desktop icon. But I have another probem. Because other games needs old standard libsdl-mixer1.2 like Super Tux these games are mute now... :(

Is there a way to have both libsdl versions installed? I remember reading that someone here did it, but I can't find it anymore... I'm not a linux expert in general, so any help would be highly appreciated.

Exact same problem here.

EDIT:
BTW, after installing beat2x and updating (as consequence) the sdl, most of the games that I launched via shortcut were indeed mute, BUT, if I launched them via terminal (to try to see the problem) they worked as normal, with sound and etc.

SO... maybe some hope?

I'm testing game with non-UK keyboard.
*Can't use menu at all. 'W' and 'A' and 'S' and 'D' are enter, every other keys do nothing. So I can start first song with level1, but nothing more. Game then works with wasd.
Typing name for score works same as menu. W,A,S,D are enter. Left+right moves left/right. Every other does nothing.

*Ctrl+backspace doesn't work (grabbed?)
