However, i m not able to change some 3rd party icon size like bluezwitch & connectnow.

Those are not application shortcuts, they are widgets. Connectnow has it's own ability to resize them (go in desktop editing mode and click the tool icon @ connectnow widget). About bluezwitch, contact the author and ask if he can make it rezizable.

hmmm, thanx. I did mean to mention it to u as widget and not a shortcut. Its this trouble with us noobs. We cant get the tech part right. But does my Q make any difference whether its a widget or a shortcut? I think so, otherwise u wont mention it, right? Neway,thanx again. I will try wht u suggested. U guys certainly make the n900 more fun.

Didn't mean to be rude or anything in my post. But think it this way:
widgets are like separate applications just running on the desktop instead of being fullscreen. You can easily see what are widgets and what are shortcuts just by how they are added to desktop when you're in desktop editing mode; shortcuts have their own menu and widgets have their own :)

Btw, what is this trend about cutting words? With my english I hardly understood what you tried to say :D

LOL! what you are witnessing is the new age of english thanks to the text message format and limit of words per text message.

Apparently it is a big problem in Japan as well where the younger generation are also 'bastardising' the language due to text message size limits.

i find that wen i want to change background my entire image sets or theme wallpaper no longer found...

anyone having same prob?

Have you installed Matan's modified hildon-desktop in the past? I did and had the same issue. Even reinstalling the original hildon-home didn't fix it, had to reflash.
