Re: Something I can call weird is happening, weirdness busted!
This thread is very educational. I've never imagined a broken sim port would create problem with the booting sequence.
Even when you can't get the sim port to work again, At least you've a N900 works like a N810. Gratz and good luck. |

I stripped my N900 today, the SIM adapter looks banged. I just sprayed some contact cleaner and dusted out the motherboard, and so far I am able to get to a frozen hildon-home with a SIM card plugged in. I just think I'll use my old XpressMusic for calls and the N900 as my mobiile computer :)

-82 reflashes prior to this. -dropped device -weird things happening even after reflashing this is a good example from the fact that one should tell everything starting from the mothers maiden name, not think that: "it probably isn't related".... because of that you got 20 helpful but non-usable answers (plus you summoned the troll by getting enough hits to your thread, not your fault...) |
Re: Something I can call weird is happening, weirdness busted!
Hang on a minute here... i just read the last 3 pages and now it would have been a lot more helpful IF you had told everyone you had dropped it in the first post OMG.
And by the looks of it you still aint got a fully working N900? Now if ONLY you had said right in the beggining you DROPPED it then i am sure this thread would have taken a different route alltogether... you have basically hidden the most important point right up to the end WELL DONE you totally confused everyone here. Point is though we ALL would love to see you with a fully working N900 so please do get stuck in and check out every single board and part with a good magnifier and see what you can find out..... so the drama goes on eh hahahaha. (still feel sorry for you though) |

Personally I prefer to write and speak in the English language. I still don't see where anyone called the other an idiot. |
