How did you get the transparent status bar. Most people failed trying to do it.

It's not transparent, it's just cut pic from background

Yes one would need to do it every time one changed the wallpaper/background pic.

By the way would this be something you could include in N9QTweaks at some point @schturman?

I can't make tweak w option 3 work. It turns transparent for a few seconds while refreshing and then goes straight back to black?

Nooo, don't use Tweak W for changing background if you use Home screen setting app (HSS), it can cause reboot loop !
Option 3 it's for long & transparent notification bar, wait for version 8.5, I changed something and I think this option also should work for HSS users..
