Re: 0xFFFF - Open Free Fiasco Firmware Flasher
I don't think 0xFFFF supports N9 flashing.

Re: 0xFFFF - Open Free Fiasco Firmware Flasher
0xFFFF does not support flashing signed images and it does not support unpacking FIASCO images with certificates.

Re: 0xFFFF - Open Free Fiasco Firmware Flasher
Thank you hxka,
I think 0xFFFF supports the N9 as well, at least according to its manpage https://manpages.debian.org/stretch/...FFFF.1.en.html Thank you pali, may I ask What is the difference between signed and unsigned images? Who signs it? Where can I find unsigned images to flash them with 0xFFFF? As I understand, a FIASCO image is a compressed and packed image that holds more than one image? What is the difference between an image with a certificate? Who issues these, and can I find an image without a certificate (would I want this)? What to do generally in my situation, should I try to flash with the "flasher" software for Debian instead of 0xFFFF? Thank you both again! |
Re: 0xFFFF - Open Free Fiasco Firmware Flasher
Signed images are signed by Nokia. FIASCO file contains images + certificates. 0xFFFF is not able to process FIASCO files with certificates. But you can use Nokia's flasher to unpack FIASCO and then flash/load images by 0xFFFF without signarue.
But loading image without signature turn your phone into open mode. |
Re: 0xFFFF - Open Free Fiasco Firmware Flasher
This is N900 flasher, not N9
