Can confirm. The last update from the Google Playstore works fine on Tablet.

GUIDE to install MicroG to Jolla C. (Maybe works on Jolla1?)
#This is how I did this and got it working. Maybe all steps are not needed

0.Requirements
• For Linux, you need OpenJDK 6 or newer
• For Windows, you need Java SE runtime 6 or newer
• adb
• zip

1. AlienDalvik system needs to support signature spoofing so GmsCore can pretend the existence of the official Play Services to applications calling Google APIs.

• First we need to deodex. Full guide here

After that Pokemon Go should work.
I also installed MozillaNlpBackend & NominatimNlpBackend and configured them from microG settings.
I used evozi to download PokemonGo from Playstore.
And I made Pokemon Trainer account, not Google one.

Hopefully instructions are clear enough :)

EDIT:
ISSUES!

• AR mode does not work, because no compass
• Compass does not work^^
• No GPS error, when not moving for ~30sec. So stay in move!

Any chance you could upload those somewhere? Lots of steps could be skipped (unless there is something device specific in them, but should be the generic AD files)

Thanks, I was trying to inject with that Needle script yesterday after your post, but JollaC shows up as unauthorized all the time in adb, so did not manage

Thanks, I followed these steps, but microG still claims signature spoofing is not supported. One thing I did notice is that there is no 'priv-app' folder in /opt/alien/system/. This is on the original Jolla phone.

I made own patch.py(check the link) because I couldn't get adb working like you.:)
