I don't see any mention of Korea and I cannot identify a korean person from any other nearby nationality so I'm just curious where the Korean part comes from. But if you're sure I'll take your word for it.

I called 1 866 59 NOKIA to check order status. The first 3 times I called despite pressing 2 to check order status my call was forwarded to a charger replacement center. On the fourth call I got through to order status. The (I believe Asian) lady said that the latest info they had was that the phone would begin shipping at the end of the month. I told her that NOKIA had issued a press release that they were shipping yesterday. She said that was in Europe not in the USA.

It is amazing how disorganized NOKIA USA (Brightpoint) is.

Yeah, Amazon US keeps saying that the item has not been released, even though I mentioned to the Customer Satisfaction guy that it had.
Anyone knows something about shipping dates from Amazon US?

Which network and package did you go with? I'm thinking Voda 30+web, 300mins unl text&web. Best they got - would have preferred t-mobile :(

Nokia (in Finland) has told a Finnish magazine that then N900s are being produced in Korea. Pre-productions models were built in Finland (Salo factory).

Hi people,

I'm not sure that this should be the place to tell this, but I just got direct info from a good source at Nokia (personal contact, not Nokia Care) that Swedish Nokia will start beginning shipping in week 49. Sorry I cannot say from who but I trust the source. And its due to the some operator sims. None of this is new to some people as it was mentioned before in this thread as "probable" delay. This is just a reconfirmation.

Anything can change mate. He got his info from Nokia, at the same time Nokia can change this at anytime.
Although week 49 seems likely, 30th Nov is the start of week 49.
That's only 2 weeks late compare to everyone else.

Well they can change the date too, Play changed it once a few weeks ago, extending it by 10 days from 20th Nov.

Both Amazon and Play have the date at Nov 30th so maybe it'll ship earlier but really the end of the November looks like the likely date.

My source was from ex-colleague who is now working for Nokia so, yes you are right anything can change. Just a little annoyed why this is taking so long for Sweden. Also, being an expat in a foreign doesnt help.

I was aware of this news however, I wanted to convey what I know from an ex-colleague who is in the know.

I believe dell will recieve there shipment before new egg and amazon. That is what i saw from another forum that a person had a discussion with Nokia posted about. :) :D

Damn it, I might cancel with Amazon and go with Dell. The only problem is that I searched and searched and couldn't find the N900 on Dell's website.

Well, sometimes when you want something bad enough, you won't care about the price. Lol

Done that before myself. Therefore, I'm at the dilemma of should I go with Nokia USA or Newegg.

Well the thing is since I ordered on the 28th from Amazon, if I put in an order now from NokiaUSA they may ship at the same time if their preorders are already full and they send by who ordered first.

Perhaps I can order both and cancel the one that doesnt ship first
