If you image google 'E-3 autofocus', it's the first thing that pops up.

I modified it a bit to get rid of the camera in my example.

I've also managed to play some more (and was inspired by Underscore's marvelous theme - OK. I just wholesale cut-'n-pasted his marvelous wonder!box frame :o... I wouldn't have figured out how to make the frame look nice on my own).

The Google/Wikipedia internet search box is now transparent, too. So, aside from the dismal weather forecast for the next few days for Vancouver :(, a viewer shouldn't be distracted from clutter.

Yes, yes... you're guys, nothing will distract you from the centre image... fair enough.

But I *could* have reupped my Crouching Sumo Guy screenshot to illustrate - count yourselves lucky :D

You seem to be implying there's some other feature or features in that picture?

What, exactly are you seeing?

Mh Shot Tool matey :p

Nah, I'm joking. I searched for screenshot in application manager and I found MH Shot Tool. Added it to osso-statusbar-cpu and I just run it from there. It has a customisable delayed option too. It can also upload to flickr :p

qwerty12,

Thanks for the heads up on MH Shot Tool.
Would you mind detailing how you put it into osso-statusbar-cpu? I have osso and would like to add MH to it's menu.
Any advise, guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated. BTW awesome screen! Dan

underscore: Do you find with your panel on the right application switcher notifications (like modest or email) get pushed off screen? That was the only reason I switched back, and now that I have stopped using modest I might go to the right again.

Underscore 2008-03-26 20:12

Re: Show off your screenshots

Actually, I don't use email on the tablet, so I couldn't tell you. Does sound like a bother though.
One thing, though, I actually managed to drag the panel off-screen...dunno how that happened but it looked kinda cool because it freed up some screen real-estate. Now...if we could just get rid of that panel and replace it with a drop down menu applet from the system tray...or have a show/hide applet in they system tray...there would be alot more room for desktop applets and windows.

querty12,

Thanks. Works. I forgot about command feature.
Querty12 are you getting this strange flickering on screen when you try to save MH from flicker to a different folder(internal or external) with MH menu after you take a screen shot? really strange.
Querty12 your screen shots are amazing. :) Ditto underscore. :)
OK, querty12 how many partitions do you have in total and how much memory do you allocate to each? Are you using 16gb sdhc cards in both slots. Do tell! :)
I stay with LARS because every app or menu I go to to keeps the theme going in black with deep blue. Dan

Hey, lpotter, what kind of a tease is this: "This is Qtopia running on an n810."?

The Qtopia home page says, "Qtopia can run on any device that runs Linux(tm)."

But I don't get how you do it, or, to tell you the truth, quite what Qtopia is.

Is it running from the Web only, or is it putting apps into your N810, or what?

Does it run smoothly? How's its speed/responsiveness? Does it cause any problems?

And, what the heck, does it include a PIM that can synch and run on both the web and an unconnected Tablet?

GeraldKo 2008-03-28 07:55

Re: Show off your screenshots

lpotter, if you have Qtopia running, you really ought to start a new thread on just that. (I see your signature shows you're affiliated with Trolltech.)

Has to be Ipotter's own dev because no port exists of QTopia. Very nice work though.
If you build we will most definitely come. :) Dan

Not yet a .deb file. The news and stock ticker is really just a demo right now.

We have had a n800 half done in sources in the Qtopia source code for sometime now.

Re: Show off your screenshots

Ipotter,

Keep up the great work.
I've spent sometime going over your site and it rocks!
I can't wait to port.
One suggestion do the port like Penguinbait did with KDE so it's an extra system with its own partition. That way as more apps are developed it has room to grow. This would also not alienate Nokia and Maemo. They would just see it as an additional and complementary system and apps. If you need a tester I'm available just pm me. Dan
P.S. I would love to have news and stock ticker floating on my screen across bottom or top when I'm surfing web or even when I have net on but not browser.

As far as I know, Nokia bought Trolltech a few months ago so I don't know how alienated they would be. It looks like a great mobile interface though and the more choice we have the better.

Qtopia is a gui environment for Embedded Linux devices, and has been around since 2001. One of the first devices to ship it were the Sharp Zaurus,
