Did you reflash to Global firmware? I have a suspicion that UK Global firmware updaters aren't seeing the update.

Nothing here on global firmware in uk, others seem to have it in app manager on global firmware, might try the flasher

Im sick of people whining that they dont have features that have never been advertised or even mentioned that they will be in any update by nokia.

Don't come on here complaining when its not even a legitement complaint.
Buy a phone with the features you want, don't just expect them to come when its been stated repeatedly that they won't.

I started with PR1.0 [Global] I've had OTA updates before, all the way up to PR1.1.1. Then, I've once reflashed to 1.1.1 [Global Variant], due to a bricking of my own making.

That perhaps could be the issue - I know someone who is in the same position as me, without the manual reflash, so will get some info.

How does this work with Titans PR1.2 Kernel?
I got it installed.

Can I update as usual?

Tried to deinstall the Titans kernel but got a error saying "could not install Nokia-kernel" :-(

Dammit, its here again, as it was in the LPR1.2 - when I install Extra protocols and set up my ICQ account, I can see my buddies in Contacts, but when in Conversations I press Neww IM message, it says "No contacts" ...

ok, flashed the new firmware and then the new eMMC ...
went through without errors, but it did have only "□" instead of numbers and characters for entering the PIN and the layout was a bit messed up
could tap the correct fields for the pin-number and the pin was accepted too, but it continued to show "□" when it started up ...

reflashed the eMMC ... didn't change anything

reflashed the firmware again ... now working fine ...
(didn't try to flash eMMC with the new version again)

haven't tried much yet, but things i noticed so far:
- calender widget doesn't show birthdays from contacts anymore (those were the ones that were pink i think)
- you can now delete a email from the notification window *yay*
- facebook doesn't redirect you to the mobile version anymore (don't know if that because of PR 1.2 ... had hide user agent installed and set up to now)
- programs are now all accessible on one page

I'm on 2.2009.51-1.205.1 and nothing in App Manager yet, so probably won't be able to get the update without having to flash to the global version.

make sure you've done a backup before update. programs have to be re-downloaded (and if you have done a backup its not a problem cos it saves a list of installed sw), songs pics etc are safe :)

no (I wanted to flash it but didn't work for me, but you don't need to flash that...just the main firmware)

Could someone please tell me if Ovi Store is open yet?

That was promised too... It's been over 6 months since the launch of the phone and if they still don't have Ovi store figured out then there's something that I'm missing on why I'd stay with this phone =)

Would you care to give us a link where some Nokia official stated that. Phone-to-Phone video calling is overrated anyway, I had it on my N95 and used it 3 times in two years, just as as a show-off feature.

you can click the ovi shortcut and it takes your to the ovi store - still full of the same old stuf as last time I visited (ages ago). Not sure if that's what you meant? No sign yet of the new Docs To Go professional edition (supports write/dave as well as viewer) for example.

Just because it's a show-off feature for you does not mean the same for other people. I'm not saying that it's useful to me either, but that's kinda what annoys me about the Nokia fanboyism is that they defend Nokia to no end. First someone says that it was never advertised and they are proven wrong, and now you come on and say that it's a show-off feature no one needs anyway. Way to go...

Will wail till Thursday, hopefully ovi store opens =) so excited =D
