I'd at least contact them to let them know, otherwise you know that the phone will break and then they'll refuse to fix it. They might not require you to send it back...

Mtag - we've had this discussion - this is for MPD customers, not specifically only MPD order'ees :) - So really theres no limit to what they can say! - allthough i do agree other topics may suit these better.

I replied to someone who asked.

3561 posts, and you complain because a question asked is slightly off topic.

PS. You were rude.

Ever heard of being friendly, we are all bummed about the fact our n900's aren't here, so there is no need to get arsey, it came up in convo so [B]I[B] asked what he had bought. It's called hints and tips, so get off your high horse and if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything, other than apologise to Kieron for being blatantly rude.

This Thread says Mobile Phones Direct N900 Customers

You are possibly a MPD N900 Cust

Mattmills8133 quite possibly among other things is MPD N900 Cust

However as we have had this discussion previously it depends on the context as to how you want to take this thread predominatly it is about people who have orders outstanding or waiting for news that is one way others may take the thread which is more than likely.

The other which is how you have possibly taken it is about just being random mpd cust, but in all honesty there is other threads specifically dealing with your topic.

I am an N900 MPD customer who has been waiting longer than since the 4th December, the fact I have only just found this forum does not relate in any way how long I have been a customer.

End of discussion.
Peg, is there not a downloadable one on the nokia website mate?

Though I'm only at work so plenty of time to read it!

C'mon, please change from "Ready For Despatch" - is it likely to happen during the day!?

Woo ! Just had a call from a no-doubt busy guy in Southampton, who said the CEO had asked him to ring. He was able to clear up the glitch over my details right there and then, and said it should go out today or tomorrow, so in hand by Monday latest.

Something, somewhere, seems to have unplugged the dam today, hurrah !

Trying to find out if anyone else that has received their n900, and has already had a text to say that their bill is now online. I only got my n900 yesterday (therefore that is the day the account was activated). The text goes on the say that T mobile will be taking payment on or about the 24/12/2009. Isn't that date too early to be taking payment as the account wasn't activated until the 9/12, has this got anything to do with the Christmas holiday period?? Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Nope, it'll change the morning you receive it if anything according to the boss type fella i spoke to this morning @ MPD.

You have to pay line rental in advance.T-mobile payments usually debit after two weeks of the bill date, therefore this would seem correct!

How did the people who received defective phones fare with returning to MPD? Ninjaboxergirl etc?
I know people have issues with rebooting / dead mics.. I have a dead pixel in the bottom right of the screen. Only noticed it today so not sure if it was there yesterday when I switched it on. Not too big a deal but wondering if I should live with it or exchange if its easy enough.

Re: Mobile Phones Direct N900 Customers

Hi

I need a bit of help...I contacted MPD to find out when i would recieve my device. The bloke on the phone told me that it would be likely to get to me tomorrow. I then asked if he could tell me which store my phone was sent to and he told me it was at Reading. He then told me to contact the Nokia store in Reading and ask them when they will dispatch my device. I called them and they told me to email the web department. Anyone know the email address to the Reading web department or any other way to find out when they will be dispatching my n900? Any help would be much appreciated. :)

I had a similar thing after emailing Karl this morning. He emailed back that he told the webshop manager to look into this. Within half an hour I was called, and was told all devices will go out today and tomorrow and it will be with all of us by the weekend or Monday at the latest (I assume to account for no deliveries in some areas on Saturdays). I gave again my new PAC coce. Within minutes a guy from the Machester store called, he had everything for dispatch, he wanted my card details and said it will be with me tomorrow. After 30 mins a dispatch email was sent. The order status now is complete.

Ordered 7/11. So it seems good news for all of us are everyone would get it by Monday latest.

@noobmonkey: What is the maximum uptime for your device (i.e. without reboots)? In the last emails you mentioned that it was on since Sunday without a reboot. What happened before that? Did you ever have any reboot by itself?

Cheers

Re: Mobile Phones Direct N900 Customers

mine came this morning, ordered 09/11/09 voda 35+ web no call/still ready for dispatch I GOTS MINE IN MY HAND NOW,the email i got today says this

Dear Customer

Please be advised that we expect that all credit checked and approved/outstanding N900 pre-orders to be dispatched today for a pre-1pm delivery tomorrow.

Due to the popularity of this handset, and Nokia stock delays which were out of our control, we have this week shipped a huge quantity of N900’s which have stretched our staff and IT systems to the limit (which will all be upgraded in the new year in order to provide a much better service). Our web team are doing all they can to respond to individual emails and calls, but if you have already received an email advising that your N900 is ‘ready for dispatch’ you should receive it tomorrow Friday 11th December by Royal Mail Special Delivery.

If we have requested from you more information or a PAC code in order to complete your order which you have not yet sent, please contact us by email at webshop@nokiaretail.co.uk clearly marking your email; ‘More Information’ or ‘PAC’ plus provide your order number.

Again, please accept our sincere apologies for the delays in shipping your N900.

Kind regards

David Urch
Webshop Fulfilment Manager

I ordered last night and have been at 'pending stock' since this morning. I hope they haven't run out of stock! Has anyone who has ordered in the last few days got past 'pending stock' status? They should prioritise all preorders first and then do first come first served, but just wondering if they are actioning any recent ones. Hearing they are being dispatched is making me want it now, in my hands, by teleportation please - the N900 can do that right - its so great!!

MPD meaning of "Ready For Despatch" is completely different. Apparently it means the n900 has been delivered to a store who will then deliver it to you!

My order status was "Ready For Despatch" since Monday night.
It then changed this afternoon to "complete" and I also received an email saying is has been despatched (true sense of the word!)
