Ok great. It sounds like the order tracking is functional even if it does require interpretation. At least now I can tell myself it is not coming until the status tells me so. Thanks for the info, I think I'm calm now.

Some folk have received theirs while the status still reads "Ready For Despatch" though! Although they did also receive an email telling them it was on its way!

ok my status on the site says ready for dispatch but email we got says if you got email saying it was ready for dispatch you would get it, i have not had the email so will i get it or not?

You're device will be with you tomorrow, saturday, or monday if you preordered before this week. I don't know how many times this has to be reiterated! :(

I got mine yesterday and the status still is RFD, no despatch/delivery e-mail either, although my number was ported to vodafone today and my voda sim is now active.

Well all's i can say is i hope none of you have the same problems i have had trying to return the dam fone as it's not working you'll get a right run around i deffo won't be using these cowboys again thats for sure:mad:

Ordered mine Tuesday and told over the phone to expect it by Monday so it's not just the preorders either

Yeah I know what you mean and I have the same question. In that information email from today it is unclear whether they are on about a new/additional mail saying 'ready for dispatch' (which I haven't had yet) or if it extends to the online status (which has been on that status since Friday).
At first I understood that they meant the online status...now I'm not sure anymore...
BTW, someone pointed out that this had been answered many times already - well, we are fully aware that we are supposed to receive the device Fr, Sat or Mo - the question is on which of these days, of course. For me it's a hell of a difference whether I can play with it over the weekend or next week in the evenings, after work, which practically means waiting for the following weekend to find some time.

If this has been sent to Royal Mail according to "Special Delivery" It should be delivered by 13:00 tomorrow (Friday).

I'll be at work when it is delivered :(

I also got this email this afternoon but I haven't received the email about ready for despatch. I checked MPD site again to find out my order status is still 'ready for despatch'. I've been ready for despatch since last friday, so not happy. I ordered 22nd November.

As far as I know MPD are working to 10pm tonight and tomorrow night to get out orders. They also claim to have received 500 n900s from Nokia.

Hopefully, they will just ship the units and update your status later.

End of last week and start of this week people were getting thier units before the order status was set to "complete"
and before receiving the "n900 has been despatched" email.

There is still hope!

Ok reading back the messages i see the email was a lie and that it could be saturday or monday, what a bunch of tossers, send out an email then tell people over the phone a different story. Good one MPD

Just got in from work and checked my order status and it now says complete ! changed from ready to dispatch and I have no phone and no missed delivery or post? any ideas ?

Unless you got an email saying "your phone has been dispatched" then assume it has not been delivered yet!

Then again you may get a special delivery tomorrow.
Sometimes the email is not sent out in time. You may get the email tomorrow morning.

Update, just found an email in my spam filter from webshop saying it was dispatched today, dooh, that was quick, only ordered on Sunday. Heres hoping it turns up tomorrow as I have a day off work.

Yes, all lies. I am NEVER ordering from MPD again. They don't have a clue how to do business. What's the point of pre ordering if someone who orders a few days ago gets their phone despatched before us when we've ordered a couple of weeks ago. What ever happened to despatching in order date order. No offence to anyone, who did order after me, I'm just really angry. What's also a joke, is that on their website it says instock from 4th December. It should also say: 'Will not be shipped for a week, even though you are paying for special delivery which is next day, but we are not a normal company and don't do anything right. We communicate when we feel like it, which is hardly ever...' I could go on all night as I have steam coming out of my ears!

Hmmm me too but...if they are really dispatching stuff until 10pm it's possible that we still get a mail. That reminds me of an email that was posted earlier in which someone from MPD said that they update the status in the morning and that an email in the morning means that it will be delivered on that day. But I can't remember who said that??
