Question: Why the CSSU-thumb kernel has not been installed while I installed CSSU-thumb?

AFAIK kernel-power is enough and has these workarounds too.

Marmistrz: Ok, but I had to reflash my handy. After installing CSSU-thumb my N900 was always freezing and I had it to reboot again and again.

Freemangordon, isn't this warning on first page already obsoleted:

"WARNING:
- kernel-power-setting v14 is incompatible with kernel-cssu, will be fixed in the next version of KPS."

Well, KPS v14 is still incompatible :D. Will remove that, thanks.

Well, following instructions in first page - to the letter - should be enough to have everything installed as it should be. It seems, that something went wrong, in your case.

I know, that it may sounds quite complicated for someone who is new to Maemo's hacking (or just power-use) - but, remember, that, despite being 100% stable, thumb2 is still kinda experimental stuff (strange to say about thing, that is working on my main device for ages ;) )

If You haven't succeed on first time, try again, ensuring, that every step went OK. then, if it doesn't work well, ask for help *before* reflashing to vanilla - after all, verifying installed kernel would be very easy, and everyone would happily point you to uname -r and ask for output.

Unless you've decided to live without thumb2, of course. If that is the case - well, fair enough.
