Also, I'm going crazy over every new email I receive. I know newegg won't ship at this hour, but when I saw a new mail a minute ago. I almost freaked out thinking the N900 shipped.

no idea what it was relating too... .and not reading through even more threads to figure that one out..... Woulda been easier just to write a short story :)....

My guess is, package numbers and tracking rubbish again? - probably not an N900.......

I have the same thing going on, only this morning i checked my email to see one from nokia..... customer service questionnaire!

needless to say will be filling in noting lack of communication on their part

* After checking it has been recieved

..... Wondering was it his phone or false alarm!!! FYI it was a user in the US.

Swedish electronics supplier "El-Giganten" says it will have the N900 next week (week 48, and a week before Nokia says it will be delivered)

ONLY THREE MORE RELEASE DATES LEFT TO GO

Whats their marketing going to be

I've been warned that if I don't post a wildly speculative estimated delivery promise, I will be barred from this thread. So...

I've just spoken to MDP. Their guy said that they didn't know for certain but were working on a estimate of shipping by the 30th. They are also hounding Nokia for information which they will post when/if they get any.

Sweden won't get it for a long time buddy.

This is a special situation. Applies only to Sweden.

Just to let you know, only Klas Ström knows anything close to release dates.

To be honest I prefer carriers NOT to pickup the device. I consider carriers to be just a pipe that connects me to the voice and data networks, I want nothing else from them bit they want so much more from me.

Just got an email from Nokia Online Shop Finland saying they will charge my credit card tomorrow friday 20/11 and that the N900 will be shipped to me during next week (wk48).

Got email from Nokia Online store Finland promising they will process my preorder tomorrow

Finally got a reply from MPD

Dear Customer,

If you do not know already, the N900 has been pushed back again. The latest information from Nokia, is that the handsets have started shipping from Finland and should be on the market (in our possession) for the last week of November.

There have been no dates given. As soon as there is concrete and definite ETA’s then the website will be updated as soon as we know – please refrain from emailing us – the website will have this information on it before our emailing and customer services representatives know.


The large number of orders has also lead to a large number of phone calls and emails – this flux is difficult to deal with especially when we need to give you, the customer, the best service possible. This is one of our efforts just to let you know the status of your order and also to try and make things a little easier for us.

Those of you who have applied for the N900 and have not heard from us need to:

• Use our online tracker to find the status of your order.
• If your status is ‘pending stock’, this literally means we are waiting for the stock, however your application for contract or PAYG has been approved and your order will be filled when the stock is here and ready to be despatched.

Should you need to contact us, please try out our new online chat system where you can ask immediate questions – all the information on the N900 is above.

Many thanks for those who have been patient with us – it is much appreciated – we are looking forward to despatching your order as soon as possible.

That is interesting but I havent received my mail from MPD yet. I may have to cancel my order if it doesnt arrive next week as I am off on a long holiday to Oz until the end of Jan and i dont want to be paying for something that i cant use and it will just be sat in some dusty room at the post office. I'll just have to re order one when i get home.

With all the whining about communications, thats the closest to a decent email i can see from them.
Impressed they have apologised'ish... and fair enough to them if they are being ambushed by us :) - they are only the middle man :) - lets hope they do get it v soon so we can send them thankyou for finally sending me the device emails :)

Yay, some form of communication. I don't feel sorry for them having to take a lot of calls/emails/etc from people. They should have sent this email out on Mon/Tues.
