One really cool feature is the shortcuts on some of the minimsed apps.
This deso not work for all but the media and email are two good examples.

On the media one you can pause the media or skip to the next track by small swipes within the minimised app.

Best explained on the Jolla help page:-
http://jolla.com/guide/ under home screen and covers
Works whne the minimised apps (covers) are big or small
It's all in the swipe!

Is there any way to customize gestures logic? I.e. assign certain predetermined (or in some way custom defined) actions to a set of various gestures? If not, will Jolla consider such idea?

Not in the current implementation. Can't speak for what Jolla will do.

One thing is that the gestures do not rotate, I like this and hope it stays that way. For example if you have the Camera app open in Landscape you close it by swipeing from top to bottom of the phone. which in landscape is a horizontal swipe.

Well, actually gestures should rotate together with the screen orientation. Gestures should be relative to the user and virtual part of the screen (top, bottom, left, right etc.), not to the physical part of the screen (narrow, wide etc.). I'd view any other implementation to be unnatural and non intuitive. I.e. you close application swiping vertically, from the top to the bottom. That's natural. And not "from one narrow edge to the other narrow edge" - that's not natural.

Does the other half stack up?
