you need to install kernel-power-bootimage and kernel-power-modules via apt-get

then go to /boot/ there you will see the file "zImage-2.6.28.10maemo40" rename it to "vmlinuz-2.6.28.10power40 and copy it to /boot/multiboot/

now you need to go to /etc/multiboot.d/ and create a new item file for it

if you are lazy go to /etc/multiboot.d/examples

open the Maemo-power39.item file and change the values to

ITEM_NAME="Maemo kernel power40"
ITEM_KERNEL=2.6.28.10power40

and save the file as "Maemo-power40.item to /etc/multiboot.d

i just solved it by installing kernel-power-bootimg then reinstalling multiboot-kernel-power_0.3_armel.deb. =)

@jaikman, ive got the same problem, but im still really useless when it comes command line stuff, could you please let me know exactly what the commands are to write in xterm to make oc work i have power 40 installed.

ok folks these threads are getting stupidly long now

can i ask ALL nitdroid users who need help or support or anything to post in the nitdroid forums themselves as these posts im going to request to be locked to help keep everything in same place :)
