I would say most of us in all countries will see them in December. Just my bet. Droid needs to go back on December 12th, so still have time to enjoy the 3G :) |
Re: N900 shipping delayed

Re: N900 shipping delayed
This seems like the Vista launch from MS. I wonder if Maemo 6 will be what Windows 7 has been for Vista.
By the way I never had trouble with Vista... |
Re: N900 shipping delayed
So basically Nokia is delaying the N900 to countries with the 3 network issue and not even bothering to tell us...... If the italians who don't have this issue definatly get theirs first Nokia are a lying scheaming bunch of F**k wits who can eat my arse.

Re: N900 shipping delayed
I hope you guys are complaining to Nokia about the botched release of the N900. This is what I sent today:
To Whom This May Concern: I have to say that you guys have done a great job ruining the release of the N900. Not only have some people been waiting 2 1/2 months for its release but we still get teased every other day that the phone is shipping or that the phone is in stores. The reports about the N900 could not be farther then reality. If you want a good example of how a phone should be released just look at the Apple iPhone or the Motorola Droid. The phones were announced shortly before their release and there was a lot of hype about them. Once the release date came along, the phones actually appeared in stores and people were actually able to buy them. You guys have been stringing people along for months and its seriously uncool. Its irrelevant to me what it takes for you to release the N900 as long and the messages you put out are clear and honest. I am a frequent reader of blogs related to Maemo and the N900 and people are pissed off. Some people have canceled their orders and others have just given up and gotten another phone. Sincerely, MT |
Re: N900 shipping delayed
Ive been waiting for two months and i'm not waiting until December or January or February. I have owned Nokias for over ten years and this has put me off for life. They just can't be trusted and have zero customer care.
Another nokia customer lost due to their incompetence. |
Re: N900 shipping delayed
Unfortunately, I've just received this e-mail :/
Dear Customer We’re sorry to again advise you that the N900 has been delayed. There is however good news - Nokia have advised that we will receive stock into our Nokia Retail stores to allow us to dispatch your N900 on the 3rd December. Please accept our sincere apologies for this further delay which is out of our control, and be assured that you are on a priority list for dispatch of a Nokia N900 as soon as it becomes available. Nokia Retail stores and Nokia online are the only place that the N900 is currently available on a pay monthly contract. For more details of the Nokia N900 please visit our new Nokia Retail website www.nokiaretail.co.uk If you would like to discuss your pending order please email us at webshop@nokiaretail.co.uk. Nokia Retail I thought UK was supposed to received their N900's next week... what happened to that???!!!! |
Re: N900 shipping delayed

Re: N900 shipping delayed
they can try that and ill bloody fkin kill them, seriously...it's like torture to wake up every day feeling like a fool checking their website and calling to stores not getting a simple answer....as if that 2 months delay wasn't enough...if they said in the beginning "we will ship in late november", i would be fine now...but after all that sh*t we had to go through, i dont think those clowns realize they should value those who stayed alive uptil now and are still waiting for their device...many people are...but if they don't give it to us by next friday, heads are gonna roll, literally

I have not yet received the email from nokia retail, despite switching to them. Should I be worried, or is it just a matter of time?

Is that really SO HARD to understand? I NEVER said it was the bane of my existence. But Nokia is losing goodwill with this continual botched launch. And the Nokia apologists are not making things better by suggesting we're a bunch of fools for expecting more from Nokia and that the way they're doing this launch is a GOOD thing. |
Re: N900 shipping delayed
Everyone, please keep N900 delivery-related posts in this one thread.

Re: N900 shipping delayed
Sorry guys, but Nokia wants to give the phones on the same time for all the first priority countries. Nokia Finland said that it will be in the Flagshipstore in 27. of this month, and the preordered phones from webstore will be shipped in next week. Retailers however can start their selling in 4th of december, so the place where I ordered my phone (Saunalahti, operator) will ship the phones in 3th.
Don't lose your nerves guys. It's here, soon, in couple of weeks... :) |

You say that Nokia Finland will release the N900 for their flagship stores to sell on 27th Nov. Do you have a source for this? |
Re: N900 shipping delayed
I remember seeing a post about this, so I apologize for the repetition.
If you have pre-ordered from NokiaUSA, give them a call, they claim they're trying to call all people who have pre-ordered. They have changed e-commerce something or other and need to redo the orders. The protection plan is now $49.99, $1 1-3 day shipping, and you can get either the bluetooth headset that was originally included OR %15 discount. Protection plan + shipping + %15 discount + tax for me was around $628. I didn't mind that so much, but 2 of my credit cards were declined (my bank says they're OK) and they refused to try a 3rd one, because after the 3rd decline you get flagged as a fraudulent customer. I told them to cancel everything a shove it, now I have to order from someone else and won't be getting it for a while  |
