I NEVER said it was the bane of my existence. But Nokia is losing goodwill with this continual botched launch. And the Nokia apologists are not making things better by suggesting we're a bunch of fools for expecting more from Nokia and that the way they're doing this launch is a GOOD thing. :rolleyes:

I'm sorry if i offended you, this is not my task. I just think to become so angry over a matter like this is bad for the body / mind.

Channel Five breaking news reports The newest Android phone from Verizon aka "Droid" has kidnapped the n900. Droid is now demanding 10,000 more people MUST sign up with verizon and their contract, or the n900 "will get it, good"

To be honest Italy is one of the places where the mobile phones were adopted earlier.

When in Italy the cellular pones were already popular objects, in the US and other American countries the mobiles were seen only on SF movies.

So I really can't understand the surprise for early shipping in Italy.

guys if you checked with the other topic, the Nokia N900 is avaible at the NYC flagship store and i just got off with them on the phone to confirm it, appearntly they can only put you on "the list" for now as a pre-oder and they will get back to you when they ahve one for you. i spoke with a women and she said she didnt know how big the list was.

she clearly confirmed its only for the people on the list right now and everyone else will have to wait.

I talk to the guys in chicago and they said the nokia n900 will be in stores two days before the day after tomorrow!!!!

The whole launch just seems so chaotic. I'm glad that apparently they're starting to sell the phones at the NYC flagship store... but SERIOUSLY WTF?? All of the people who pre-ordered from the various US retailers (including the Nokia store) months ago STILL don't have a definitive date for shipping. This just blows my mind. And from the NYC thread, it seems like they're selling it CHEAPER than the original Nokia store PREORDER. :confused::confused::confused:

Some sort of a proof that the phone exists and is viable for sale. Now we can relax a little. Lets give them a week and then we can get annoyed again if more retailers and shops don´t start shipping.

Don't expect to much! They may have pushed new FW into a few devices all night long to make us believe something would happen. We shall continue to wait patiently another 2 weeks, not change to the dark side.
But as long as resellers did not get any reliable information when they will have the devices I am sceptical. I think Nokia is still looking for ways to reflash all the already shipped devices with newer firmware because they found a severe bug. I can't find another explanation for these mysterios behavior of Nokia.

last night NYC flagship store got in stock and people was allowed to go and get it, it also is being shipped in Italy and NL now too

Update for those who pre-ordered from NOSUK

Just called Nokia Online Store (UK) and was told all pre-orders will be shipped out either today or Monday. Was kindly told to specifically watch the Inbox for the delivery email today.

Hey guys! Please, someone who really knows about N900 release in UK or exact delivery date, write here or post a link! Can someone else confirm information, that UK online store will ship pre-orders today or Monday? Because I heard that deliveries are pushed to November :(

:D Hallo guys, I recieved an email from Nokia the Netherlands. They say that my pre-ordered (2/09/2009) device is on stock and that the order is being processed !!!

I think we are being PLAYED!

Nokia was late shipping product and picked a high profile location to give what few finished product they had in order to try and shut us all up. NYC got a few hundred units.

Any more word of others out there?
