updated my first desktop, i think this is final for a few months

added a temp and a ram widget (now i don't need system info widget :D)
also a small uptime widget with my phone's icon in it :p

and if you tap on wifi widget, opens all connections availables

I still need to get off my *** and fix the notification menu - a part of it is still clickable, and package and release the theme.

Oh, and all of it was done in QBW. I'll need a better method than this soon.

EDIT: Fixed it. Damn, I need to learn how to code. The way it's done right now (custom theme + QBW + startup scripts)

most of them were shared in this post

the media player is in the post you quoted and the rest of them (ram, temperature, notes) i'll post them later, when i get home

also, as i use kernel power 46, the temperature displayed has no formate, if you use kp47, you may need to do some corrections in the first line

it is impossible to done the bar using QBW...no widgets can be put on the bar including QBW...
that is only a mockup desktop using GIMP or any other photo editor...

This was done in a custom theme + desktop background + custom hildon-status-menu applets.

I'll keep improving the design (aka working mockup) and finally, learn code and redesign hildon-desktop altogether.

I learned from APM and adapted the display code appropriately. This is not the way I want to do things anymore, as I plan on completely removing hildon-status-menu (as it looks now, that is.)
If anyone can share the method to make QBW go all the way up to the top bar that'd be great. I can then focus on mangling hildon-desktop (more on that later, I'll probably make a hildon-mangling thread.)

BTW, the image resizing on the N900 is crap. I much prefer resizing images to 800x480 in Photoshop and saving to PNG. Also, who doesn't like Chie from Persona 4?

In the main QBW widget screen you can adjust X and Y positions beyond normal desktop restrictions. Lower Y values take it to the top bar, values beyond 400 are only visible when the desktop is force-rotated by CSSU (ctrl + fn + shift + L)

Yeah made a final desktop I think, been working on this the last 2 weeks. It's just that I was very busy with testweek and making money ;)

Many thanks to bigears5000, he was my biggest inspiration! Media player done in qbw by harrick some pages back ;) I modified the scripts slightly to fit my needs

coz if this person can make hildon work in portrait mode then why cant MAG ?
and if MAG can then why he havent included it in CSSU?

this is true. Here is the video that i made. just follow the steps. omweather animation makes rotation possible. choose at least two cities in omweather and replace them several times from the home screen. maybe someone will tell the MAG

there are two directories for the .pngs

/home/user/MyDocs/.image/queen_beecon_dir
and
/home/user/.queen_beecon_dir

just place the pngs here and then in the queen beecon widget enter the exact name as that .png image has , in command title settings.

and video of what ?
whole process of putting png in the right directory and configuring it in queen beecon widget ?
