try to open the video from filemanager, it will use stock media player. but don't expect youtube 720p video to work on n900, DSP is not powerful enough to decode it. It will look like slideshow.

Recording is great but not smooth enough. It records in 22 fps...
How can I make it smoother?!

When I overclock via cpufreqUI to 1.1 GHz, does it OC just main processor or DSP is boosted 2...&, if not, how can I overclock DSP manually??

go to xterminal then type

root
leafpad /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/dsp

then type what min frequency you like and max frequency after that save it. but best set only the max frequency to 900.
after saving just load dsp profile type root again in xterminal then
kernel-config load dsp and make it your default profile if you want.
if you want to record properly just lock the frequency in xterminal just type root
kernel-config lock 900
and to unlock kernel-config unlock

hmm it's really I mean really hard to figure what's the problem but after hard hard hard working, debugging and thinking

i found that you don't abetter camera application installed
exactly as the photo tells me
oh and that make sense, because how to install an application's patch without the application it self? Oo

if you want a better camera without abc app

i have edited the post allowing people to remove the patch
because if some body has it installed and want to remove it
or if someone want to use the tweaked libgstdsp.so

Does it mean i cant do it in windows pc???

i thought it's all done in x-term in n900 itself...and i was wondering where to find /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/ ..

{from attached libgstdsp.zip copy libgstdsp.so to your n900 /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstdsp.so}

plz enlighten me.. i m noob in all this stuff..:confused:

do the following things

first install filebox-apt-get install filebox

then go to settings in filebox and enable root access

then copy libgstdsp.so to usr/lib/gstream....

i am noob too and the best way i found to deal with this stuff is to install Filebox, enable root access in its options, and from there you can navigate to specified directory.

I don't know what happened...first it was great & now I got a black screen during recording & I'm not really shure is it even recording,

), cuz I've tried to install it but failed in that olso...

Video camera failed totally!!!
First it was just HD & DVD resolutions but now it won't even record 840x480...it starts recording (red led is shining) &, after a sec it stops..but the numbers on the screen indicate that the recording process never stoped.
Olso, in media player for DVD, HD video says "unable to play media. Media format not suported", but it played well yesterday!

What 2 do?

please, please..I'm getting desperate.
