Tethering Sprint Motorola Q to Nokia N8100

Hey all, I'm thinking about buying the new Nokia N8100 with WiMAX after doing some research on it. I currently have a Sprint Motorola Q on the SERO plan(30 bucks, pretty much unlimited everything, 500 minutes), and since I have unlimited internet I could use the Nokia N8100 anywhere I go. The problem is, it doesn't seem like the Q is able to tether with the N8100, as it doesn't have DUN BT. I've heard PDANet will work, but has anyone tried it? Is it slow? Is it easy to get working?
Should I even bother getting the N8100? The Q is pretty decent for web browsing, not great, but solid, and I have an Ipod Touch for WiFi(although its brand new and im seriously considering selling it for like 200-250 bucks)

I'd love any feedback from people who have the N8100 and a Motorola Q if possible. Thanks in advance! :D

The Q doesn't have BT though. The Q9H and Q9c do.

Are you using MaemoPAN to tether over BT ?
What do you mean by no other programs - as I believe Q9H and other Windows based smartphones dont support DUN.

I have a regular moto Q with Sprint and I use pdanet and the CBW profile to tether. Works fine. Don't expect blazing fast speeds though, because bluetooth is slow. I get speed tests in the range of 150 to 200k. Its fine for browsing and the occasional installation of a program from the repositories. I have the extended 2100 mah battery for the Q so tethering doesn't drain the battery.

What is a CBW profile? Would you recommend buying a Nokia N810 and tethering it to a Q? How slow is it compared to the speeds you get while browsing just directly on your Q?

Right now the evdo service in my area seems to be a bit slow a lot of times anyway, so the whole bluetooth slowing me down thing is really moot. I generally prefer to take the nokia out of my pocket to browse with the larger screen and more capable browser.

The CBW profile is a profile on the phone setup configuration in the control panel on the nokia. I just saw that someone else had used it before me with pdanet and it worked, so thats what I use.

I use USB Modem for mobile-stream using my 755p -- they make a windows mobile version. No modifications on my N800 (running OS 2008), and I just activate the program on my Treo. Sprint doesn't need to know I'm using this form of DUN.

Huh? I'm using a Sprint Moto Q tethered with PDANet to my N810 -- works fine. I'm actually a bit depressed that when I get my iPhone that I'll lose this ability...
