My wife stole my tablet!

The title says it all.

She has been using my N800 for the past few days, and has said things like:

1. "I love your tablet"
2. "What else can this thing do?"
3. "Don't you need to upgrade soon? (wink wink)"

She is at home, recovering from recent knee surgery, and finds climbing stairs difficult. Since our desktop computers are in the basement, I thought I would be chivalrous, and offer her my tablet while she is at home. Yesterday, I received about 3 calls at work from her - for tablet support. She wanted to know how to reconnect to the internet, where the charger was, how to close multiple instances of MicroB that were open, keyboard questions, etc.

Her embrace of the product, and the ease with which she has learned to use it for its *intended* purpose, has reinformced in my mind that Nokia has hit the nail squarely on the head with this combination of hardware and software.

It looks as though I will not have to prepare much of a case to upgrade to the latest-and-greatest tablet in the future. I am pretty certain that my N800 will find a good home in my wife's hands.

I love it when you've got an excuse like that to upgrade your toy :D

Must be nice my wife would want the upgrade and make me keep the old. Atleast that is what happens when I traded my Truck for her New Car.

I'd take either situation and be happy. At least then I'd have a co-conspirator in my technolust. As it is, it seems any time I pick my IT up in her presence, the immediate response is, "Haven't you played with that enough already?"

Thanks for the responses. I'm secretly loving it. It's practically a carte blanche to upgrade at some point. At one point, she hated my tablet, as I was spending so much time on it. I had to go into rehab, and now look at the situation - it's better than ever.

:D
My girlfriend (with whom I live) states the same.
She even goes as far as lying stating that the first thing I do in the morning is using the tablet!
That's true...but only to turn off the alarm clock!!!
I swear !

My wife is more like "Oh, geez, not the stupid tablets again!"

I'm in the habit of walking around the house or do the dishes with the tablet in my back pocket. This has induced my wife to slap my *** more often than she otherwise would, in the hopes that she'll bust it.

Yeah but, y'know, for you it's taking your work home with you. :D

I remember an interview with a famous game developer called Richard Garriott where he was asked which games he played at home, and his response was something like "You think I play computer games at HOME?".
